I think the time has come...
I have not been using my blog at all lately.. I really enjoyed blogging, but just no time for it anymore. I need to make more time to write and type my feeling about my children and photos.. I love my kids more than anything in this world!
I have been getting spam on here and feel I need to open an new
blog...as this one was mostly Andrea's adoption... I would love to start one up again.. I miss blogging...

I have met so many wonderful people in the blogging world and some have became great
friends...there are others that I have not talked in so long and do truly miss...
So.. If I open a new blog, it will be private...as i will be using it as an journal.

I don't want crazy people stalking my blog anymore and there are some I do not want to have them read about me and my life...and especially my kids..I know you all understand.... So let me know if You want to follow my new blog, when I set it up... :)

Happy 4th Birthday Silvia.. Wow time flies!!!
Daddy, Mommy, Alexa and Andrea are thinking of you today and everyday and we LOVE You so much and Miss YOU !
Your time with Us was way to short, and you sure left a HUGE piece of You in My Heart. There is a not a Day, that I do not think of you. We will reunite again someday!

A new YEAR Coming...

Well, 2009 is almost done and I am ready for it to be done...
It was an OK year, but I have a few things this coming year
that I want to change about me to be a better person, mom and wife.

WOW, The time of 2 weeks has really flew by...I thought it would have crawled, but We hung out and watched movies, played lots of games and puzzles.. She so Needs a playdate...other than ME and Alexa.. Next week.. On Friday she is back to her School and she is SO excited!!!

I have not posted, as there is not much to report, other than Andrea has recovered Wonderfully!!! Who would have known she just had major surgery?!

She has basically been couped up in the house, as they did not want her to get an infection or sick during this recovery time. Which with the H1N1 and strep that is going around, that was OK with me!

Andrea gets her stitches out tomorrow and then I can finally Wash her hair!!! They do not want her head to get wet and I can not submerge her head in the bathtub for a month... Should be fun washing her hair tomorrow night. She has sat in the bath tub and we put a shower cap on and OH, and you can Imagine how much She loves that... NOT!
We are leaving Friday for Alexa's hockey tourney and they have a pool, so when we are at the Dr.s tomorrow, I will see if she can swim, with a shower cap or something.. Should be FUN times, trying to keep that on and her life jacket. :)

Andrea has done so great and we are so proud of her! She did an amazing job being at home and hanging out with us and HER DOGGIES... She was playing babies with Bella (Our youngest lab who is 1).. It was the cutest thing Ever....

I am so thankful that this is behind us now and do not have to worry about it anymore... It was a scary time for us when we were first told what it was and luckily, it was not as deep as they first thought, so we are so thankful for that..
There is alot of things I am thankful for this year...My Family, Friends, My Girls and a great hubby and I won't forget our 2 lovable Labs..

I want to Thank You ALL for posting comments, cards, gifts and also the emails... and most important, Thank You for ALL the prayers that were said for Andrea ........

Andrea's Surgery is Done and WE are HOME!

Andrea's Surgery is Done and we are Home!!!

Andrea's Surgery went GREAT!!!!! Dr. Nagib was 2.5 hours late, so we did not get Andrea into surgery until 6.45pm last night..

Andrea was SO patient and such a Wonderful little girl! I wish I could have her patience!

Andrea was getting very fussy and irritable, as we were all getting that way after NOT eating or drinking all day, (HOW could I have eaten in front of her? She knew something was going on, as we had to wake her @ 7 am to eat breakfast.. She followed me around all morning..)and then we got stuck in a little room.. Waiting.. They gave her some med that made her act like she was drunk which was pretty funny to see her be that way.. She entertained us, that is for sure!
So finally...Dr. Nagib gets here and they are ready for her...
Scott and I got suited up in our scrubs, hat and masks to the Room where they give her the gas and put her under.. She screamed and cried and they put the mask on her and she went right to sleep...It was kind of a relief...yet, of course I had a few tears, as she was going under, as watching her eyes roll back and she snorting like a little Piggy...but in the same breath, felt good she was FINALLY on the table and getting this taken care of.
We went to the waiting room as my Mom. Alexa and I played the game of Sorry, and watched some TV and waited for some Supper, that Len and Barb ran out to get at Matt's ( Home of the Juicy Lucy's)...Well, as we sat there for about an hour, I saw Dr. Nagib enter the room and he said "The surgery is done"!!!!! I said HUN?! He said that the Dermal sinus was all intact and did not have to do any of that, so it was basically, repair the cephalocele and she was an Excellent patient! So he said they would call soon.. They did call soon, and as we could go into see her, the food came...
Andrea woke up crying and crying..
Her throat, raspy, as they gave her a breathing tube.. She kept saying Mommy.......Mommy..........It was pretty sad cry..
I got to hold her in my arms and she was NOT letting me go....That was how it was pretty much was the case until 11 PM..When the Morphine was given again..I did let Scott take her after a bit, as I was starving...and I too had to go potty..
They did shave a little bit in the back of her head, but it should be easily covered by her hair....and hte bandages did not stay on..They did ask if we wanted to shave her whole head.. I SAID NO!!!!!! I was kind of sad, as he said he would braid it.....but he was almost 3 hours late and I am guessing he did not have time... It will Grow!

Scott, Alexa, Grandma Barb, Grandma Sweet-pea and Grandpa Len left for the night and I pretty much got on my Jammie's and hopped into the bed with Andrea and we slept for an hour here and an hour there, but the nurses would come in and check on her and check the back the back of her head, which she was sleeping on... She was a trooper though and the Morphine was a Good thing for her, as she was fighting sleeping.

She got up @ 3 am as she had to go potty... They put a diaper on her and she said I am NOT going potty in a diaper.. they are for Babies!!!!! So I knew she was doing good... so we unhooked her from the machines and she went potty!!!

We slept and watched TV and played Play-doh and colored and breakfast came and she ate so good!!!

Daddy came to visit, so I could go grab some food and freshen Up, as if I tried to leave her side, she would freak OUT! She is still frightened with people in White coats.
We just hung out today and got the Discharge stuff and it is basically for her not to be around anyone for 2 weeks, as they worry about the infection and meningitis. No activity, school or anything for 2 weeks!!!
So, we will be laying low these next few weeks. she said for us to not to go to Target.. (YIKES)!
Well, she is awaking from her nap..

The Nurses and Dr's at Children's are AMAZING! Thank You To ALL the nurses! So accomadating and helpful and they all LOVED Andrea... as she is just an Amazing little girl!

2 days unitl Surgery....

We went to the Pre Surgery Program last night and what a GREAT program!!!!! I learned alot and Andrea, I think will be more at ease, even though at her Pre op this morning, she screamed and screamed when the Dr. came in.. So I see there is alot of anxiety!

We got there and checked in like we will on Thursday and then the kids got to look at the Scrubs and stethoscopes and we did introductions. Then we got a tour of the hospital and the Induction room where they put them out to do the surgery and they had these really cool sparkly lights on the ceiling that Andrea really liked, and they showed us the Jammie's she gets to wear and they got to weigh themselves and see how tall they are...
The cool part of this, is where we were was the actual place she will be on Thursday as they prep her for surgery, so it now LOOKS familiar and I think Andrea felt ok with it all.

I got to go see the PICU unit as the others on the tour were doing same day and since Andrea will be there a few days, they also showed me 3rd floor and what the room will look like, that she will be in... She said " Is this a hotel"...
I love what she asks and how she asks......

Andrea's Preop today went great and they cleared her for surgery. As soon as we got to the Dr.s office, they put a mask on her, as they do NOT want her to catch anything... She was willing to do it and I don't know if she would have if we had not went to the class last night...
So We are down to 2 days...
Also, There are New Guidelines Now...
Alexa is coming with us to the hospital and will stay with Us and her sister until she goes into the Induction room...and Alexa will Not be able to come and visit Andrea until she has been there 5 days... which we have NO clue HOW long she may be there?!
So Alexa has a Huge Sisterly job of making an scrapbook of Andrea while in the hospital and Making her Banners and pictures to decorate her room.

Andrea can only have 4 visitors Per Day and Scott and I are 2 of the 4, so if you want to come and Visit, Please call....
Andrea will be heavily sedated after surgery as they do not want her to move, so she will be very sleepy and Dr. Nagib, her Neurosurgeon, makes early rounds around 5 am, so the nurse thought that she would be this way until he made his rounds, but we will wait and see.

So... Tonight, I have an Hockey game and then getting our bags packed and ready to go, as tomorrow, is Our Crazy Wednesday!

Andrea's Apppointment....

We met with Dr. Nagib today and he is very sweet and very compassionate. He called Andrea back to the room and talked to Her for a bit asking her what her name is and how old she is etc... and then we led us to view Andrea's MRI. He went on to show us the Cephalocele and where it was located and what it looked like and asked if we had any questions about it.. We then walked back to his office and he sat on a chair at our level and talked to us..
He drew Andrea's head on his scrubs and showed us how he would fix this...and described what it is..and how they repair it.
(Andrea thought drawing on his pants was pretty Cool)!!!

They do not shave her head, they braid her hair around where they will do the incision, as he said he does not want a child to have to through that, and he said he is all for keeping their hair. ( he has long hair)
Then they do an S incision about 3-4 inches long and so it should not leave a big scar and the they put the tissue together by strands and then take a part of the bone from her scalp that they shave and it will eventually heal completely as bone will keep growing, (kind of like skin when cut)
He said she will be in the hospital for a day or 2 depending on how she does post op.

What she has in Occipital Atretic Cephalocele and will not know if it a dermal Sinus Tract until he is in her scalp actually doing surgery but did not think it is into the Sinus tract, from the MRI.

He said he was glad that we got her in and had this checked out, as some kids end up getting an infection in the brain and getting meningitis from an cephalocele and it comes on so quick, that most do not make it....

I really like him and feel Andrea is in Perfect hands with him so with that,

Andrea is set her to have her surgery on November 19th @ 1pm at Minneapolis Children's...
Alexa has an field trip that day, but may have her take the day to be with us and her sister at the hospital.
After Andrea's Appointment today, we went to Matt's.. Home of the Juicy Lucy! YUM YUM!

Andrea's Results

I have posted some stuff on Facebook about Andrea's MRI results, but seriously have had NO time to sit down and post a POST on here...

What Andrea has is Occipital Atretic Cephalocele and Dermal Sinus trac.. What I can kind of understand is that when she was growing in Juana's Belly in Guatemala, and since it is a 3rd World country, they do not take vitamins. Well they think since she did not have enough Folic acid, it is is a birth defect.
The bone in her skull never grew and that is why she has the little bump on the back of her head. Not Sure what the Dermal Sinus is though.. Still awaiting a call from the Neurosurgeon's office for an appointment and they are NOT too fast! I am getting a LITTLE frustrated....

Andrea has been home the last 3 days with an 100-103 fever... and Alexa has been home with asthma stuff.. SO it has been LOTS of fun here at the Krumm House!

We Miss You Miss Silvia...

Yet, Another year has passed... I never know how I am going to be on this day
as it is never an easy day.. Adoption was not easy either.. The Ups the Downs...

The whole adoption process from the start, You get your paperwork... and wait months and months waiting..
Then we got an referral of this Beautiful Little Girl...that will be OURS and WE completely Fall in Love with them..Then the that first Video and photos come.. and you keep getting new photos and videos and you fall MORE and More in Love with them and see them growing..(without You) you get through the adoption process and then I got a chance to go and meet her with my friend Amy.. and I fell MORE in Love...and my love for her will Never change!

I got an Call 3 years ago today, that Our Sweet Silvia passed away. I remember the phone call..clear as day..I was on my way to take Alexa to a Girl Scout function, standing next to my bed when I say Tamera was calling.. I thought.. Oh Maybe we were out of PGN? Tamera asked me twice if Scott was Home?! I said No, Not for a little while..
( I was thinking she may of had some great news on our case) She told me to sit down.. I didn't...as my heart started to race...
She told me that Silvia had passed away today. I dropped to the floor.. I thought, HOW can this BE?! I was just there and left her only 15 days ago.. She talked, and we cried and cried, and it seemed like such a bad dream....

3 years have passed, and there has not been a day that goes by that I do not think of Silvia. She will forever be in my heart and soul. She left a HUGE part of her with me. I fell in love with her and she fell in Love with ME in that short week in Guatemala, and I Will cherish those memories of the great time we had forever.

Silvia was brought to us for a special reason and Silvia left our lives way to soon, and We will Meet again my Little Angel!

Andrea's MRI tomorrow

I got my shopping done today with groceries and got Andrea a special treat for when we get home tomorrow after her MRI.
Andrea is having an MRI, as she was born with the bump on the back of her head. ( it is so small (6 mm by 7 mm). WE brought her to an Dermatologist about it and she measured it the first time last year and then we went in August for the 2nd time and they measured it and pushed on it and had several other Dermatologists come flying in to look at it and not 1 of them have seen anything like it and said we should definitely start figuring out what it could be?! Want to know if it is a vascular thing, as if we want to remove it in the future.. and is it just on the skin and not into the skull.?! Lots of What is it questions... The Dr's were so wonderful and told me they would have it checked out the same way if it were their child.

So Do I start to Worry?! YES... I am very worried.. WHY? Because I am a Worrier... I am worried for a few different reasons..
1) She has to undergo anesthesia or the MRI, as obviously she could not sit still for possibly an hour..
2) I am worried with all the reports about how it can damage brain cells..
3)I am worried about her going under and me not there and her being scared and most of all her being scared of Drs, as she is always a little freaked out by them especially if they have White coats on.
4)Worried what it the results are?!
There are a lot more, but Not sure exactly what I am all feeling right now.. I am most worried that She LOVES her orange juice in the morning and she will not be able to eat or drink anything after 5 am and we have to be at Children's @ 7.30 am... How am I going to eat breakfast or even drink my coffee in front of her?! That is so Unfair.. SO Yes, I can go without it, but Won't the caffeine help?!
I will feel so much better tomorrow afternoon when we are home and snuggling n watching and Dora movie...with Andrea and Alexa next to me snuggling on the other side... That is what I am So looking forward to tomorrow.. Snuggle time with my 2 Wonderful Girls!

Life is back on Schedule

School has began and Alexa is Loving the 4th grade... At least that is what she tells me.
Andrea started her ECFE(Early Childhood Family Education) class on Friday's and She says "I go to school like my big sister Lexa"...She had her backpack and was super proud and is getting so grown up!
We just celebrated Andrea's 3rd Birthday yesterday! Alexa had a little surprise party for her in the basement with balloons and presents and puppies all over with music, books and anything "Puppish" It was super cute and Alexa and her friend Stephanie worked really hard, as I was out getting the cake and balloons. I can't believe she is already 3! WE did not have a party for Andrea, as the cousins are getting older and far away, and busy in their lives which is hard as I love to entertain for Birthday parties and I think Andrea would have really liked it. :)
We went to Chuck E Cheeses and it was a COMPLETE... ZOO! They had an Somalian REUNION party and it WAS packed and kids were OUT of control, jumping on the Ski ball machines, stealing tickets and coins, so we ate and said we could come back some other night when kids could behave. I am SO for discipline and Not one of the mother's there said NOTHING.. They would actually laugh and think it was Funny. I do not know how many balls the kids took from me and would run up to the top and throw it the whole on Ski ball.. My patience was to the TOP and all the kids running around with Snotty noses, I know For sure my girls will be getting SOMETHING.. Anyways that is my vent for the day...
Alexa had Hockey tryouts Sunday and has more this weekend on Saturday and Sunday... GOOD Luck Alexa! :) I PRAY her asthma does not get bad this week...
Scott went Bow hunting this weekend (Friday and Saturday and was home late Sat night) and he did not get a deer. :( Dave, whose land he goes to, got 2! Scott is in another broom ball tournament this weekend, but it is at Schwan's which is 5 minutes from here! :) They came in 3rd place in Vegas, which Vegas was a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just do not have Time lately....

I have been a bad blogger lately. I guess I just can not find the time to sit and write out my thoughts and what is going on in our lives, as we are always on the go and by the time I sit and want to write, I am tired and go to bed.
In the past few weeks, we have been to the Science Museum, Twins Game, where Alexa caught a ball before the game and was super excited! We went to watch the PGA tour here in MN and it was HOT and fun to see the players, even thought Golf is a sport I usually watch when I want to nap, as it is not to exciting.
Alexa went to safety camp for 2 days and loved it and everything we were doing wrong, she told us How to do it!
Scott's Grandma Maki who was 95, passed away last week. We went to her funeral in Atlantic Mine, Michigan. It is always hard to say goodbye, but she did leave a great life and went into a nursing home a few months ago and had many people around all the time and had a great mind. She will be missed by all.
The summer is winding down and the school supplies are bought, the hair is cut, some clothes shopping done and tonight, Alexa has her meet and greet with her new teacher Mrs. Arlt. I can not believe she will be in 4th grade. She has grown up so and has been really fun to be around this summer,( of course she still whines at times and I want to ground her to her room for life)(NO MEAN COMMENTS) but she has been helpful with her sister willingly and around the house and mowing the lawn and cleaning her room and bathroom.
We are headed to the State fair this week sometime and the hockey season is already here! Scott and I leave for Vegas on the 10th of September..( which I am jumping up and down as I am so excited to go).. Alexa starts a new Sunday school on Sunday, as we are going to a church that does Missions to Guatemala and it is close and I really enjoy this church.
Well.. Off to get stuff ready for these next few weeks...School,Vegas and life...
I love reading all my friends blogs..I may not post a lot, but I am keeping up with you and your families.
Andrea's 3rd Birthday is in a few weeks... so I will post some photos of her then! Where does the time GO???!!!

It is August already

Man.. I feel I was just here posting and thinking of what to write about.. Well here it is in August already. Wow! We have went to the store and got Alexa all her back to school supplies, which amazes me.. 48 pencils?! What the?! I need to go and get her some clothes, but am going to wait, as she is so growing AGAIN! She is in a size 5 shoe... She is going to pass me up in 4th grade.
WE celebrated Andrea's 2 year Anniversary on August 1st of being home in Minnesota by having Steaks on the grill, twice backed potato's and corn on the cob. It was Super Yummy and for dessert, Alexa and I baked brownies with chocolate frosting. Alexa set the table in the Guatemalan place mats we bought in Antigua on our pick up trip and she set out Wine glasses and the girls had sparkling Apple juice and Scott and I had some wine. We said our prayers and made a special toast to Andrea and her being with us. It was really sweet.
I will be posting photos and out vacation trip soon- I can not add photos on our computer right now. We had a great time and the girls were great travelers. We loved Sesame Place and Alexa loved the Ben Franklin stuff in Philadelphia. I liked Atlantic City and the ocean, as so did the girls. WE have Lots of sea shells..
Tonight is National Night out, so we will go and hang out with some neighbors and eat. It is always a fun time, as even though some one may live 3 houses away, you may see them 3 times a year..
This weekend, we are pulling out our landscaping/rocks in the front yard and adding fill to the house,as it is sinking in on the side of the house and Scott is worried about the foundation and water problems. WE have LOTS of projects going on over here.. I am trying to get new blinds for the Living Room and Family room and also the patio door. We have lived here 11 years and I need some updating. :)
School starts here in 4 weeks- YIKES! I have a lot of things to do with the girls before then. We made a list and we better get Busy!! :)

Since Last Time....

Since last post, Andrea has become potty trained. She went on the potty one morning and she said Potty an hour later and has been potty trained ever since, even dry at night. She did awesome in Michigan and only had 1 mishap, as I did not pull them all the way down and she peed all over her shorts...SO We think she is doing Awesome! WE will be saving some $$ in diapers and wipes and swim diapers... :) More to spend on something else now...
We went to Michigan for the 4th weekend. WE went to Scott's camp for 2 nights. We did not get into his camp until 12:30 am MN time and 1.30 MI time. We got up and we went to go see the great Grandmas. Scott's Dad and Jan were at his brother Darryl's house and Darryl had brought his mom there, so we sat at his place and had a nice long visit. They watched our 2 Lab dogs, as we had to drive to see the other grandma and Scott's Dad and his brother and Jan, wore the dogs out! WE drove back to Scott's Camp again and got in at 12.15am. We got up the next morning and drove to Twin Lakes and showered up and got into the cabin and went to go visit with more relatives and eat and hang out. We had a nice bonfire and relaxed and watched the fireworks around the lake. WE made it home safely on Sunday night and we all crashed!
This week, Andrea had her yearly eye exam and she is nearsighted and has an astigmatism, but said to wait for now to get glasses for her. Alexa had her last softball games on Tuesday and she had a double header. We will be missing the Tournament, as we will be in Philly!
I am off to an taste test and picking up Alexa's luggage!
We are off to Pennsylvania is 6 days! WE will be there for 10 days! We will be going to Sesame Place, Gettysburg, Hershey, Downtown Philly and more!

Happy belated Father's Day to all the Dad's out there... Makes me Miss my Dad all the more.. When I was at Valleyfair on Powertower, on the climb up, I said Dad, "This is as close as I am going to get to heaven for now, so wanted to tell you I LOVE YOU" and then the ride dropped... I miss him and all he is missing in our lives, as he so loved being around Alexa and he would just love little Andrea.
I better change the subject before I cry again...
We/I have been busy with the kids and busy with Change..!!
Alexa is playing softball and hockey. I just had my garage sale last weekend and made some $$$, which came at a good time..!!! Feels SO good to get rid of things!!!!That $$ will be so nice for our trip to Sesame place in 26 days! Scott and I and his Dad and his friend Jan went to Valleyfair on Sunday for Father's Day. It was a lot of fun and barely any lines. It did Rain and drizzle, which was not fun on the roller coasters, as your face got pelted with the rain drops @ 60 MPH, but it was a fun day! Andrea and Alexa had a fun time riding the rides!
This week is going to be so HOT and humid.. I like WARM, but this is too hot to be outside and do anything..
Alexa is super busy with hockey and dryland for 2 hours then she comes home for 45 minutes or so and then has softball, and tonight it is 100 degrees and she has a double header game. We are bringing the snack tonight and are bringing juice boxes and Freezie pops! I don't know how anyone could eat in this heat!
Other than every day life and sports, just trying to keep the girls busy this summer and finding things to do.
Today, I cleaned out Alexa's fish tank and the fish literally jumped out and he landed on the floor. HE seems to be doing fine.. I felt so bad for him... I know.. I am feeling bad for a fishy...but he has been with us for almost 3 years, and not that I am attached to the fish, he just puffs his gills out when get up in the morning, as he is hungry.. He is like a dog or kid when they want food. LOL!!!
I think we are going up to Michigan for the weekend of the 4th of July, as it is Scott's moms Birthday. We are only going for the weekend, as Scott needs the vacation time to go to Sesame Place and that week after the 4th, we have 1000 things going on like.. Andrea's eye appt,softball games, ortho appts... Ya know... RUN RUN RUN!!!

School IS Out!!!

It is June 6th..
School is Out officially for Alexa as of yesterday!...She was so excited to get up and go on Friday to school, for her last day of 3rd grade. Their class walked to Terrace Park and played and had Popsicle's. She came off the bus from her last day and I took some photos and Andrea went running up to her and hugged her- What a Sweetie pie.
Alexa came home and she played with friends outside and the King's took Alexa to Dairy Queen and she got her Arctic Blast. She played outside until dark, and then came in and hung out with Scott and I and played the Wii and cleaned her room, as she is having a sleepover tonight.
This afternoon, Alexa had a Birthday party and she had so much fun and guess what? She wore MY Rollerblades! She is growing Up WAY too FAST! Andrea and I ran errands and went out for lunch with my mom at Davanni's... ( YUMMY pizza)!
I will try to post photos of the last day of school tonight.. Alexa brought her camera to school the last day also...
This morning, Scott took Bella and Brandi to Elk River kennels and Bella was so Whiny, that she never got out of her kennel to run, as she was so barkey! She is A HUGE whiner dog, that Scott needs to break Soon! HE is running her in a hunt test in 2 weeks in Brainerd, and Scott is also judging, so he will be away. Scott is also going to North Carolina for work to go on a factory tour of some boiler? ( some engineer stuff)and stay/golf at Ballantyne Resort!
Father's Day weekend, I will be having my garage sale..Which my garage is so full of stuff already. I have alot to organize. I hope to sell alot, so we can use that money to spend on our Pennsylvania trip in 40 some days!!!
Well, I better get some laundry done and back to cleaning out my closets!

Wow-Time sure flies lately! MAN!
Andrea finished her ECFE class and now Alexa is winding down her 3rd grade year.
They went on a field trip to Shoreview Community center to swim and they had track and field day at the High School this past Friday. It was SO fun to go and watch and see her interact with her friends and just be a Kid.
I took the girls to our Annual Springfest Carnival at my mom's church on Friday night and it rained and rained and rained some more. It eventually stopped and Alexa had her friend Peyton came with and they had a sleepover after.. they went on the rides and Andrea also did too. She keeps saying she went on the horsey ride.. She LOVES horses. I think when I put her in a Big Girl bed, I will make her room all about horses...( better than Hannah Montana)!
This week, Alexa has softball practice on Monday night and a game on Tuesday night. Her first game last week, she did really good.. she made the team get an out and batted twice and got home both times. Bad Keri, forgot her camera the first game...plus it was so windy, it would have blew right out of my hand.. I am serious. the wind was terrible!
This weekend, we are going camping for the weekend, so I am trying to get ready and get things for this weekend. The dogs are both coming- I worry about Bella, as she is just finishing her first heet cycle and she is such a Whiner!
Scott just got back from Turkey hunting this afternoon. He met up with his brother this past weekend and Scott got a turkey yesterday morning. He tried to help Eric this morning, but has to get back to work, so he can leave early again on Friday, to go camping. So now I have turkey feathers in my garage and a bag in my freezer of Mr Tom the Turkey.
Well... nothing else really going on.. and their were, it is probably too boring to post. HERE are some new photos.. Now no one can say I do not update my blog and photos. LOL!

I am not sure why us blogger sometimes just stop writing? Or don't know what to say?! But then I start typing and I have 1000 things to say?!

Last week was Scott's Birthday and we also celebrated Silvia's.
Alexa made the cake and decorated it and found 41 candles as Scott is 38 and Silvia would have been 3.
We went to A Twins game and taught Andrea all about tailgating.Scott has taken Alexa a bunch of times, so she is an pro) We grilled out burgers and hot dogs with chips, beans and fruit. Alexa and Scott played catch in the parking lot. This was one of the Best games we have been to in a LONG time, as we were behind 5 and they hit a Grand slam with bases loaded and we ended up winning by 2! WE went to go see T.C. bear and Andrea screamed SO Loud, the ushers came running. It was pretty hilarious. We got home at 11:30 and we had not yet released the balloon for Silvia to heaven, as it was her Birthday, so we were outside singing Happy Birthday at 11:30 pm.. I hope You neighbors reading this didn't wake up! LOL! Alexa said Mom, Why is Heaven so far and we can not see it? AS I want to have Silvia here to play with and Andrea too.. After she said that , I had to run inside and wipe my eyes.....
It is such a bittersweet thing, as we have sweet little Andrea, but we would not have sweet Andrea, if Silvia would have not passed and we would be loving Silvia up, as we do Andrea. I so Wish he could have Both little girls...
I am posting new photos of Andrea in her Dress she picked out at Gymboree. I posted them already on Facebook. We tried her dress on and she said "Mommy take pictures".. Can't you tel us bloggers and scrapbookers, always have cameras?! So I did-- They are SO darn CUTE! She is a little ham for photos!
Alexa has a birthday party at the roller rink on Saturday. It is at the roller rink where I grew up in Maplewood, and I used to go there every weekend. It was Cool! If it is not raining, I will bring her to my favorite park that has the Coolest slide!
I have to start packing for my weekend scrapbook retreat as I leave on the 30th ( 6 days)))!! and come home on the 3rd. I can't wait! It is at a place near Rochester. To be with friends, and some alcohol and NO kids!
This summer is getting SO busy.. Either I am gone or Scott is gone It is crazy!! Alexa's softball starts tonight and hoping the rain holds out until later... Which looking outside--Looks like Rain/storms
Today,we met with Alexa's speech teacher as we had her tested again, as she went through speech in pre school and she is still having not saying the S and z sounds right, and they said on their IEP(Cathie are you proud of me?) that she was a candidate for speech. Alexa told me she did not want to go, as she did not want to be with the special Ed kids, as she said she is smart(which she is very smart). Scott and I said it is not really Special Ed and it will be good for her, as she has been saying it wrong her whole life of speaking and it is kind of like teaching an old dog new tricks .
Can You believe it is Almost May?!
Well off for now...I a going to hook the trailer on to my bike and take Andrea for a bike ride and she can nap..Oh I wish she could out me in the trailer and I could nap..

Just to know Daddy, Mommy, Alexa and Andrea are thinking of you today and everyday and we LOVE You so much and Miss YOU So! Your time with Us and on earth was way to short.
I SO glad I came to meet you and hold you, love You up, bond with You, smell you and love you up when I came to spend that week together in Guatemala. It was the most special time and to let you know that I was your Mommy and know How Much we loved you. I will never forget those moments.

April Already?!

Nothing much to say in the past few weeks. Why am I coming up short on words and what to write? This is SO unlike ME!
Scott took Andrea on Tuesday to her ECFE class, and she So Loved That! She kept saying Daddy take me to school..even to the lady at Target.
WE bought Marley and Me on DVD and we saw it in the theater and I bawled there too, and I watched it the other night and BAWLED.. I don;t know what I am going to do when Brandi dies. Alexa just laughed at me....as did Scott..
My neighbors dog got hit the other night was killed, and I am so sad to hear that, as he was such a funny little dog and Andrea always looked out the window wondering where he is..and they would run along the fence. I think they were in Love... :) RIP little Pokey.
I counted the days of school left yesterday and it was 45 days- YIKES! So I seem to keep finding more activities for Alexa ,not like she does not have some already. She is doing softball, Hockey camp and swimming so far and a safety class for 2 days. I am trying to find her a tennis class, but the 3 I have found are when is playing hockey or when we are in Pennsylvania. I am hoping to sign Andrea up for Something.. Want to do dance, as she so loves to dance and move and run..but her age group starts when you are 3...

Anyone ever stay at the Paris Hotel in Vegas? WE are going in September for Scott's broom ball tournament and we have walked through the hotel and played slots there, but have never stayed. Looking forward to going and losing more money.. LOL I love Vegas. I don't know Why I like it so.. maybe because it is so fun and lively and No kids?!.
We are going to my cousin Amy's house for Easter for a brunch. It will be fun.
I better get my butt in gear and get stuff for the girls baskets..Great MORE candy in the house for me to try to NOT eat..I just threw out some Valentine stuff.
This weekend, we are going to a Health Fair through hubbies work. Lots of free stuff. Alexa is having a friend sleep over and hopefully it gets WARM out, so I can start walking and rollerblading.
Well, I will post more when I have some more fun info.. or SOMETHING. LOL

I Love Spring Time

Well, it is Now March 22nd and it is BEAUTIFUL outside.... I love Spring..
Alexa has had a busy weekend with her last year at her School's Carnival and her last Mite Hockey end of the year party at Fogerty where they had open skate and soccor. it was Lots of Fun! She is SO growing UP!!
Alexa had her friend Stephanie sleep over Friday night and Saturday night, after her Busy day with her school carnival and Hockey party, she had Sami and Lexi sleep over and they had fun and watched the movie Twilight and we roasted marshmallows out as we had a bonfire. They all crashed around 11 or so...
I am excited for this Spring and Summer as we will be BUSY traveling.... I just booked our camping trip for Memorial weekend. We also booked our trip 2 weeks ago to Pennsylvania to go to Sesame Place, Gettysburg's and Hershey in July and Scott's Broomball team is going to Vegas in September, so we are going with 8 couples to Vegas! Booking that Today... WHO knew it would be 9 months since the last time I have been there?! I love Vegas! SO...I really need to get in SHAPE... so I have been walking and exercising. Hope it works! :)
Sorry I have not posted with my mammo stuff-
I will post when I hear anything.. I talked to my Dr. and the mammo is normal!! I do NOT have to come IN and they will do an MRI in the fall to see the size of lymph nodes... SO that is GREAT NEWS!

Spring is here in Minnesota.... FINALLY!!!!!!!
It got up to 68 here today! WOW! It feels Great!
Last week was Alexa's Spring break. She was busy and had a good time,even though we really never went anywhere. She had her Hockey Jamboree. It is Alexa's last year as a Mite. Their team did AWESOME! I think Alexa is doing great at hockey. She really knows the game and works hard.( if her asthma is not bad) She got the last goal of 1 game to win the game as we were tied and a few games before that, she got a hat trick. We are so proud of her.
We went to the Science Museum over spring break and 1 day she was mommy to Me, as I had a migraine and Scott and Alexa took care of me, as I had to go in for 2 shots. MAN! I have never had one that BAD before... She had a few sleepovers and had fun with friends!
Sorry I have not been a good Blogger.. Just been busy being outside and playing with the girls, and me being an Facebook addict... HI..I am KERI and I am addicted to Facebook and the games and talking to people I have not talked to in YEARS...
I had my Mammo today...I am really nervous for the results, as last time I had the MRI and ultrasound and they may want to do a lumpectomy this time... I will post my results when I get them!
Off to go play with the girls and do Alexa's homework.

Here is just a short Update- Just being a MOM...
Alexa has been sick "AGAIN"! It all started Friday- She came home and laid on the couch and fell asleep.. WEIRD, as Alexa doesn't like to Nap. So I took her temp-102.9!
I don't think she truly ever got over her pneumonia from late January and now has the high fever and cough and I took her to urgent Care
and they gave her Doxycycline, Oral Prednisone and cough medicine. POOR Alexa. She has been through the ringer with sicknesses.
Andrea has been good and enjoys sitting with her Big Sister watching movies and doing puzzles and such. We sat around all Weekend and hung out and watched movies and played cards and such!
So. We wait for Alexa to get better....
Also 3 cheers for my friend Terri and Ray http://abbieandisaiah.blogspot. Who are finally bringing Abbie home from Guatemala.....They have waited ALONG time for Miss Abbie! CONGRATS my friend!!!!

Where does the Time GO?! 2 years ago today, Scott's Mom and I were flying to Guatemala to have a Visit trip to meet Little Miss Andrea!
We were just arriving in Guatemala City @ this time and heading to the Grand Tikal hotel, waiting for Iris (Foster Mom) to bring me Miss Andrea...
Our flight left @ 6:00 am and it seemed like FOREVER that we were flying to Guatemala. I was so happy when we reached North Carolina to switch planes.
As many of you remember the Old airport in Guatemala as when you got your luggage there were Lots of Guatemalan families as they would wait at the airport for their families. It almost felt like celebrity, as you walk through the crowd.
We got on our shuttle bus to the hotel and only has 1 hour until Iris came and I had to shower as it was already 2 or so, and I had been up 12 hours or so already.
I looked over the balcony into the lobby and I saw Iris(Foster Mom) holding Andrea.. My heart was beating so fast.. We were on the 9 floor. We were all ready to go downstairs, so we got on the elevator and let me tell ya, the elevator seemed like it was in slow motion- I was so Anxious to meet Andrea and Yet so scared, as I did not want to get attached so hard, like I did with Silvia... But when I came out of the elevator, I ran to Iris and hugged her and she let me hold Andrea and I cried and cried. Of happiness of Course..I fell Completely in LOVE with this little Girl Andrea. She was SO TINY and beautiful! She was almost 10 pounds at 5 months. We had the translator there to go over her schedules and everything and then we went our separate ways for 6 days, until we met when I had to give her back to the foster mom, and then would not see her again until we come for the pick Up trip... (which ending up 5 months later...)
We took Andrea up stairs in our room and I remember.. Just holding her....Giving her SO many Kisses and talking to her and telling her How much she was loved and how we are going to get her home and for to stay healthy and to be strong.
It was a Great First Day meeting my Little Girl...Now she is 2 in a half, been home for a year and a half and is doing amazing and we are So in Love with HER! Love you Miss Princess Andrea!

Alexa got a HAT Trick in today's Game!

WE played Elk River today and I am so happy for Alexa, as she got her FIRST ever hat Trick! She looked pretty good out there as she was playing forward and she got 3 goals!
Alexa's teacher came to watch her game, as Alexa and Megan are in hockey, but Megan was sick today.
We celebrated by going to Sonic for lunch! SO YUMMY! I so hope they get one in Blaine!
So 2 Cheers for Alexa

What a Fun Week!

This week, our street broke a Water main, so there was alot of activity on our street with City of Blaine trucks and backhoes and bobcats and a HUGE whole in our road and the street was closed. The kids were so excited, as she could watch it Live from our window. Silly Girl!
That night, they said our water would be off for a few hours and then the whole they were digging collapsed and it would be much later.. So the neighbor kids came over(Eric, Carl, Derek)and they got lawn chairs, blankets and snacks and sat outside to watch the workers work under the bright lights. They ran around and played tag and just were Kids! I So Love that! It started to snow HUGE snowflakes and they sat with their mouths open wide and caught snow flakes. Andrea followed what ever the Big kids were doing and had a blast! She came in and went right to bed as she was tuckered Out and Alexa... Well... She was still wound up talking about How the Bus would get through in the morning and where would they go to catch the bus and the What if's...( Our little Ms. Bus Patrol Alexa is really on top of it all)!

This weekend, Alexa has an hockey game at Elk River on Saturday afternoon. It is Alexas's last game before her Jamboree. I am going to go scrap booking on Sunday with some friends and Scott is in a broom ball tournament at Augsburg this weekend.
I am in a Focus group and have to make a Collage of What I would like Life to be-- So I have to work on that.. I don't know if there are photos for that?! LOL

Dentist Trip

I took the girls to the dentist yesterday. Andrea had her First trip to teh Dentist! She got her teeth cleaned and Xrays and flossed. She sat so good and looked so darn cute in the big chair. The Dentist said her teeth look awesome and good formations and can not see anything wrong at all in the future with her teeth.. Wish I could say that about Alexa. she had a panoramic x rays and her eye teeth are coming in the wrong way than they would like, so in August at her next appt, more xrays and then we will be seeing an orthodontist. Better start saving now! Alexa's eye teeth are wiggly...
Today, Cathie and Carl took Alexa out for her Birthday and took her to Justice and got her a Cute outfit and necklace. Then we went to eat at Old Country Buffet. Andrea and Carl and Alexa ate really good and had some dessert. Carl had a hard time going into a GIRL store, but he did OK! HE was a hoot!
Tonight, Scott's Mom and I are going to the Casino-- So wish Us luck!

Alexa's Physical Appt Today

Alexa had her 9 year old Check Up Today. All went great! She is 52 inches tall and 70 pounds. Where did my Baby Go?! Her Dr. is so nice and talked about Nutrition and puburity and Alexa was due for another Chicken Pox Vaccine. Alexa cried and as soon as she started, Andrea started screaming too, as she said Alexa has an Oweee... How Sweet is SHE?! We have go have a recheck on her eyes, as she was not seeing the last 3 lines. I just had her in back in August and she could see them fine!? We also have to see an dermatologist for a few moles she has, that her Dr wants looked at.
Alexa's lungs sounded CLEAR! Yippee.. She said the Pneumonia was all gone.
Scott got Wild Hockey tickets for this Friday night game and he is taking Alexa.(lucky Girls)!. He is picking her up from school and then taking her to Mickey's Diner and then off to the hockey game. She is SO excited, as she loves to hang out with her Daddy.
Alexa and I and Andrea went shopping last night and Alexa used up her Gift cards she got from her Birthday. She got so many CUTE outfits and shoes! Mostly all spring stuff, so Come on WARM weather! Alexa is such a shoe Junkie!
Alexa is also very proud as she purchased herself her own laptop from all her Birthday, Asthma study money and Christmas money she has been hording over the year. She is 9 and has her own laptop?! Is she Spoiled.. YES, but she bought it with own money, so no Harsh words please. :) I don't even have my laptop yet! We hope to go to all laptops and go wireless, once we pay off our debt here this year. We will see how our economy goes and just pray Scott has a job. ( not worried that he won't, but you never know)
Andrea went to her ECFE class she has on Tuesday Mornings and she LOVES her "School" so much! She sings out loud and does the crafts and plays so good with the other kids. She is a little Lover, that is for sure! I will be posting photos later of our Newest member of our Family....
Alexa has a Hockey game Sunday.. She only has 3 more games and then the Jamboree. Her asthma has not been good this year at all during hockey, so that has been hard on her, but she has an up coming Asthma appt, and we will be doing new asthma meds and uping doses, more pulminary testing and all that stuff. Fun Fun!

Day 8 of Alexa's Sickness

Well today is Saturday and Alexa is just starting to feel a little better with her pneumonia! Not well enough to play hockey yet or play outside.
Andrea is Sick too! She has had a fever of 102 or so for 2 days, so I took her to the Minute Clinic and she has a double ear infection. So she has been hanging on me and sleeping on my or Alexa's shoulder, as we watch movies and relax.
Scott's mom is here and watched the girls Yesterday, so we could go to Scott's work party and dinner. We went Curling. It is SO Much Fun! I told Scott I should join a curling league, it was so much fun! We then ate at LaGrolla Italian restaurant and it was SUPER Good. We got home @ 7pm and Andrea and Alexa were both miserable and not feeling good.
Just wanted to let you know I am still here taking care of my Girls and I am EXHAUSTED!

My Alexa turns 9 today! Wow--9 !! Where does the time go?!
She is such a good Daughter. She is so sweet, caring and has the Biggest Heart
for others. I am So Proud of her! She is excelling in school and
hockey and enjoying herself as now an 9 year old. We LOVE her SO and are SO blessed we have her! Last night she said Give me a HUG Mom, as you will never get
to hug me again when I am 8! Cute!

My poor Alexa is not feeling good today on her Birthday :(
Thursday night, Scott took Alexa to his Broomball game @ 9pm
and they won a game and they all sat around at the Hockey
rink after and celebrated with Alexa too.. Alexa got popcorn and
and Icee, and they got home @ 11.30pm.
Friday morning, I had to give blood so woke her up and
she kept saying she was so tired.. We then went out to lunch with my
old work friends at the 50's Grill and Alexa was so sleepy.
We came home and she had a 100.7 fever, and really started
coughing. She has been in bed ever since.
She woke up today @ 6 am and her fever is gone, but she is
really tired and worn out and she has a hockey game against my cousins
daughter Stephanie and then we are all going out after to eat at Space
Aliens. She will be fine once I give her some Motrin! I hope she feels better
soon!! I don't like the sick Look! :(
Also, If you could say some prayers for my cousin Amy, Mark and big Brother
Matthew.

The Cold Snap is Gone now in MInnesota

Well we survived the Cold snap of -24 degrees here in Minnesota. Today is going to be 20 above! A heat wave for Us! I keep asking WHY do we live in Cold Minesota?!
Alexa has hockey practice today and then going to Ekobakken tubing for her friend Megan's Birthday party. I hope the Wind settles down a bit so they do not freeze...
Scott and I and Andrea are headed to Costco.. Yippee.
Alexa has a hockey game tomorrow.
Alexa and I went to Target last night and they have Shoes on sale! Alexa got 3 pairs of shoes and they were $2.64 each....As they were 75% off with an addition 30%! WOW! I also got Andrea a pair of shoes and some slippers. I so Love Target! It is a dangerous place for me to go...as I could spend ALOT of money there, but I know I can't(yet)! Scott and I are working hard to pay off the last part of our debt from Andrea's adoption. We do not use credit cards, and our cars are paid off. We decided that if we need it..We will save up for it and in this economy we are happy we started this a few years ago. Our goal is to have the last part of our debt to be paid off in July...
Andrea woke up at 6 am, as Bella and Brandi started barking...I ran down there..The wind knocked the shovel outside on our deck and my 2 dogs thought there was someone outside.. Scared me..but I know our labs doggies would go out there and play and run if some one was outside.. Bella now has a Big girl bark,instead of the puppy bark- it is cute! She now barks once like Brandi to come inside, or sometimes she scratches at the door.
Well, talking about Brandi and Bella.. They want to go out ,so I must go! til Next Post...

It is 18 below Zero here today in Minnesota! All I can say is BRRR!!!
Our Furnace has been temperamental and has stopped working on and off and Scott found the problem and got the part last night and got it in No problem...THANK GOODNESS as it is so freaking cold here in Minnesota(Midwest).
That Mechanical Engineers of mine is pretty smart..

We got 4 inches of snow yesterday and people just don't know how to drive. I took Alexa to hockey last night and it took me 15-20 minutes to get to Fogerty Arena- It usually takes me 5-10 minutes. It took Scott almost 3 hours to get home from downtown Minneapolis (should be 30 minutes or so)
This morning, I am taking Andrea back for her recheck for her eyes to see what how her vision changed from 6 months ago, so we can get her a prescription for glasses. ( that is what they told me last time).. I think she can see fine.. but they were the one's looking in her eyes..
Alexa's school for gym has rollerblading they are doing this Friday. It will be fun for her and all the kids that know how to skate. Last year Alexa helped kids get their skates on and tied. I told her to skate this year and let the teachers do it.
Alexa, has a friends Birthday party Saturday at Ekobakken where you tube down a huge hill. SO much FUN! I hope it warms up! Alexa has a hockey game on Sunday.
Andrea is talking SO Much! She copies everything. She told Alexa last night..
" Alexa go to your Room!" We all laughed so hard, as she was serious and Andrea had her hands on her hips like she was mad. It was So CUTE!
We are missing her ECFE class today, for her eye appt. but we go next week. She is doing SO good now. When we separate she says Bye Mommy, you have coffee and come back. Her teacher Pam who was Alexa's teacher says she is the happiest smiliest little girl and loves to sing!
Next week, the 24th is Alexa's 9th Birthday. She has a hockey game against my cousin Rick's girl from St. Francis. We are all going to go out after and celebrate her birthday.
Scott's Holiday party is coming up and guess what his work is doing?! We are going Curling! FUN hun? I have No clue on what to do. Should be FUN!!
Well my car is warm, as it has been running for 15 minutes.. I am off!

Happy NEW Year To you all! I have a few New Years Resolutions and I hope to Keep to them! My biggest and I am sharing with you all is to Lose weight.. I need to lose it by this summer, before we go to Sesame Place.
Wow did 2008 FLY by! Where does the Time Go?!
We started our New Years Day by staying home and relaxing and cleaning up Christmas Decorations... fun fun!
Friday night we all went to the Minnesota Gophers Hockey game. It was Andrea's First hockey game other than Alexa's games. I will post photos! Andrea was not to sure at first..of all the people and noise, but she did great! She liked eating popcorn and pretended to drink my diet coke.
Scott had tickets for the Gopher game also for Saturday night for Alexa and him on and they had a blast together! One of Alexa's friends from Alexa's hockey team was there and they met between periods and hung out. They got home around 10:45pm and Alexa crashed! Alexa had a hockey game last night and she did great. She was center and she skated hard and she was tired...and her asthma was bugging her big time.. her peak flow numbers were LOW(like 110 or so), which is not very good- So we gave her more albuterol and she was wired...and she finally went to bed @ 11pm.. Which she has been off School for 2 weeks and going back to school today is going to be TOUGH!
I am proud of Alexa, as she played good center and helped others to help keep the puck in our zone and skated Alot! She was Pooped! She had 4 or 5 shots on goal, but no goal, which is fine.. It Keeps her trying harder for next game which is tonight!

Christmas Has Come and Gone......

Belated Christmas To All! I hope Santa was good to YOU! Santa brought me the Camp Kitchen I really wanted and also brought me Starbucks Gift cards and Slippers!!
Alexa and Andrea made out like bandits. Andrea's favorite toy was Elmo and the little bike Alexa picked out for her and her Fisher Price MP3 player. Alexa's favorite gift was her Mia, American Girl Doll and Wii games and her own Video Cam.
Christmas morning, Alexa woke up @ 4 am and had to go to the bathroom and she said SANTA came!!! I don't think she ever went back to sleep..So @ 7am we woke Andrea up and Grandma Barb(who is staying here) and headed downstairs..Andrea said WOW...They both started in with the presents..The 2 dogs sat and waited and sniffed and waited some more for us to get their bones in their stockings...Then they sat in the middle of the wrapping paper and boxes and chomped on their bones..
after we opened presents, Scott made Omelets and we let the girls play with their toys and relax..Then we went to Scott's Dad for a while and celebrated with Christmas with his Dad and his Girlfriend Jan. We then go to my Aunts an hour away in Burnsville( a few blocks from the sad Apartment fire) and my mom and my brother and lots of relatives were there and we ate and played games and ate more... We got home and the girls CRASHED!
It is so fun to see Our Girls faces as they opened their presents and how excited they were....I Love Christmas, as it is so magical for the kids. Christmas came and went so fast this year.... I will post some new photos of Christmas morning...
Friday afternoon.. I took the girls and my met my friend Stephanie and her girls and We went and saw the Marley and Me Movie--It is SO CUTE!! It So reminded me of Bella and Brandi.. I laughed and Boy.. Did I cry! If You have a love for dogs.. SEE the movie!
Alexa had a sleep over last night at her friends house and they went sledding and had a great time.
Alexa and Scott are going to the Gopher Hockey game on Friday! Can You Believe it is going to 2009?!( Which I think we are staying home this year) New Years is FUN.. but would rather not deal with all the people and save the money. SO.. New Years also means That Alexa will be 9 in a few weeks. YIKES!

We have been home for a few days from Vegas! It has been CRAZY since we have been home. Sorry, I have been a Bad Blogger!
I talked to Alexa almost everyday when we were there and all went good, until she called me Friday Morning saying our Christmas Tree fell over and they put it up and it if fell again and broke alot of our glass ornaments. My brother and his kids came over and got a new stand and got it up and guess what? it fell again! So.. WE fixed it when we got home and it is still standing, but I am scared to put any ornaments on it! We lost a BUNCH of ornaments.
The girls did great with my mom. They went to the Medtronic Christmas Party with my Father in Law and his girlfriend Jan and my mom. They made crafts,got goodie bags, saw Santa and actually got a photo!(Andrea is afraid of Santa)
Scott and I had fun. We stayed out until 5am almost ever night and got up at noon. It was Great! We went to old Downtown and gambled down there one night for a while and watched alot of drunk people dancing to the light show. Our favorite place to hang out this trip was the Riviera. I know Old... But we won a few bucks there and the waitress kept coming with Strong drinks! Our Anniversary, we were at Bills Gaming Saloon and Scott played Blackjack for hours and I played the slots. I did not win a Dime! We went to Margaritaville and ate and I had a few drinks. Scott had a few drinks at the poker table. We then went to Harrah's and hung out.
We got home Sunday and it was snowing here- I was liking the 70 degree weather in Vegas! WE hung out and chatted with the girls and my mom and ate supper.
Before we left for Vegas, we had to take Brandi to have her staples removed from her surgery and she took a step and the whole thing reopened... blood and fluid flowing everywhere! so they did 22 stitches on her with out any local meds. They absolutely love our Brandi! So.. when we got home, she ripped the top 4 stitches, so I had to take her in to the vet on Tuesday and she got 6 stainless steel stitches. Poor Brandi! Our popor pocketbook!
Scott was hoping to have her healed, so she could run in the hunt test in February. WE will see how she does!
So we are back trying to get back into the swing of things.
Alexa has her First hockey game tonight! I am So excited! I will also post some photos I took before we left of us getting our tree. I did not take many photos in vegas...

Black Friday

I am One of those, that gets up early, to go get a good deal... Why?! I am not sure!
I don't enjoy getting up that early-- But as I am leaving my neighborhood, no one's lights are on.. I did not see anyone barely on the roads and I think to myself.. Are these people that are on the roads at 3:30 in the morning on there way to get the deals also!? I picked up my mom, as this was out 8th Annual Black Friday!
You see NO cars on the road and you pull up to Kohl's or Best Buy and there is a line of people waiting to get in...Like Hundreds! Where were all of them on the roads? Well, I bet some camped out?! I am not that hard core! We went to Kohl's, JcPenney's and were one of the one's waiting outside of 5 minutes for Target to open it's doors. WE got a cart, but there were so many people, you could not get the cart through.. So I dumped the cart and went searching. I got an Wii game and movies that I really wanted..But it was a bargain for me- So I went searching for more... Waiting WAITING WAITING in the aisles as people stood there Stuck with no where to go, as at Target.. They were bringing out more inventory and the carts blocked the aisles.. It was kind of humorous! Well.. after Target my mom and I went out for breakfast and then we said we were done, as by 7 am- I spent a few hundred dollars!
Do I enjoy all that? ABSOLUTELY!! It is fun trying to get a deal..and you actually get it! I am all about being thrifty! I did some online shopping later yesterday afternoon. I got some really good deals and free shipping.
Scott took Alexa to an 1 o clock Minnesota Wild Hockey game yesterday! They had a great time! All got an MEGA Coke and Nachos! They got their photo taken and I will post it when I get it from Scott.
I also went to Urgent Care.......as I have been SO dizzy(they call is Vertigo) but when I lay down or move my head, I get the spins Really bad.. A few nights ago I was really dizzy and actually went and threw up, as it felt like I was at the Amusement park on a tilt a whirl, but I was just in my bed! So they gave me Meclizine and we will see how it goes. If not gone by Monday, come back in..
WE are leaving for Vegas on Wednesday.. I hope it is gone before we go to Vegas!
I have Lots to do before we leave..Like.. Get shoes, Capri's and Scott needs to fix our Furnace. It works, but you have to manually turn it on and off. Brandi goes in on Tuesday afternoon to get her Staples out and Bella has her New Puppy obedience class Tuesday night.
We are off to go get our Christmas tree today after Alexa gets home from hockey!
I have my Christmas cards almost ready to mail out- I am deciding if I write an Christmas letter? We will see! Sounds like a alot of work!

GREAT NEWS on Our Fur Baby Brandi

Yesterday, I took Brandi in to have her drain tube taken out and she did great...
I set the appt to take out the staples on the 2nd of December... I asked about the test results, but they were not in yet..
Last night around 7 pm or so, PineRidge Pet care number came up on the caller ID...
I answered it and the Dr that did the surgery said Hello, I am calling with Brandi's test results.. It seemed like forever until he started talking again ...
He said Brandi Does not Have Cancer! He said all the Vets who did surgery on her last week, thought she had an aggresive cancer...He said all the Vets and Vet techs were all in awe, as they all LOVE her! He said of all the pets he has done and the way it looked, he and the vets could not believe it. He said he is so happy, as Brandi is such a great dog and she has many more life left in her! He is such a Great vet! Must be becasue his last name is Hartman... No relation to my neighbors boy who plays the piano...
So...We are pretty thrilled HERE! so that is part of our Thanksgiving Thanks this year!

Brandi's Surgery

Our Furnace is still out! Scott is trying to find a part.. But looks like portable heaters to heat this house this weekend, if he does not find the part.
Brandi's Surgery went well.. The Dr called and talked to me about another lump she found as Brandi was still under anesthesia. The Dr. wanted to know what we wanted to do- I told her to do an needle aspiration of it and if it looked suspicious or had the cells like the other 2, to remove it.. It was a fatty/ non threatening tumor.. Unfortunately, not like the other 2. :(
I am still waiting for Scott to bring Miss Brandi home! I will be babysitting her tonight, as she cries and gets up and acts goofy after she has had a surgery.. So it could be a long night... I will post when we find out the results( mid next week)of her tests from the Pathologist of the tumors they removed.
This week has been Trying... that is for sure!
Scott's truck's engine light came on and we brought it in as it was not running right..So there goes mome $$$$ out the door,
Then this Brandi thing--Her surgery was not too cheap and we have staple removal and drain tubes next week. One of her tumors was so big, they had to put a drain on it, as there was so much fluid. SO. I take ehr in on Monday afternoon to get that taken off and Dec 1st to take the staples out.
Alexa, we thought had chick pox, turns out it was probably from her shirt after playing hockey. It realyl looked like Chicken pox.
Andrea went to bed Wednesday night and threw up all over the place....UGH
LAST Night, WE had No heat.. I was like WTF now?!
Some good NEWS...
Alexa and Scott went to a Fundraiser for Spring Lake Park last Friday night,to am Turkey shoot and they played games and they won a Gift Certificate to Cub! Woo HOO!
Tuesday, I Won 4 Movie Tickets on KS95 Loyal Listener Club to a Movie next Saturday morning!

I am sad as I type this, as Our PETS if you own one are just like Family!
I took my doggie Brandi in this morning to the Vet, as she has had a lump behind her ear and it started to bleed alot more and looked infected, So I called and they got me right in. The Dr looked at Brandi and looked at me a said we need to get an aspiration of the tissue ASAP.. so they did the tissue biopsy and she came back and said she was 99.9% sure she has a cancer Mass Cell. Then the Dr. asked about her other 2 spots that we thought were water cysts.. so she did the needle aspirations off her and we waited and waited- They even did a complimentary nail trim on Brandi, as she was such a good girl! The Doctor came in and sat down... SO I knew it was not going to be great news.. She said that the Other spots, are also more and likely a cancer Mass cell also, as the cells she looked at after the aspiration were not normal on the slide. She told us to schedule a Tumor Removal appt this week and they will take them off and send them to the Pathologist to see what type of cancer Brandi has and if it has spread to her liver or anything else. So I am still waiting for them to call and make an appt, but looks like Thursday morning at 8 am.
Scott and I think if we get these 2 tumors off, hopefully it will not spread, if it hasn't yet and then we will see what the results are after her surgery. I don't think we would do Chemo for her...I think if it spread, they will do 1 round of chemo. I know I am just crushed.. I know Scott is putting his Guard up until he finds out after surgery. Brandi was our FIRST baby.. FUR baby Before Kids! She has been through alot of surgeries.. She tore 3 ligaments in her knee 5 years ago and we decided to have it fixed, as she was only 5 at the time and Now.. Now Our Poor Brandi has cancer. :( Love You Miss Brandi Woof Woof!

We Made it

WE made it with OUT Scott this week. Scott went to Vancouver, Canada to play in the World Broomball Tournament. His team did really good! They made it to the top brackets.
Us gals stayed BUSY! We went out Monday night to Pizza Hut and then Derek came over to watch my kids, when I took Bella to puppy school. Bella now listens to me, as long as I have the pinch collar on! Tuesday, we took Alexa's friend Carl out for his Birthday to Build a Bear and built Mr. Penguin! Carl is so in love with Penguins and it was so fun to watch Alexa and Carl. They had a great time and lots of great imagination! Cathie and I had lots of fun and lots of laughs! Andrea just pushed the dol stroller around and took stuff off racks, so I was cleaning up after her most of the time.
Wednesday, after Alexa got home from School, we went shopping and got some clothes and went and met my mom at Old Country Buffet and had dinner with her and some of her friends.
Thursday was Alexa's Sock Hop dance at school. We all went around and played games and I volunteered and Alexa went and danced and hung out with her friends. She had a fun time ,as the old Gym teacher was the DJ and he is so much FUN!
Friday, the kids were off of school, so we met Stephanie and her girls and Lisa and her boys @ Andover Theatre and saw Madagascar 2. My niece works at the theatre, so it was fun to see her.. Love that girl! The Movie was Good- Andrea went to her first movie! She did OK, as long as I was shoving popcorn or Icee's in her mouth or candy. If an Hannah movie comes out, I know she would Not move a muscle! Hannah is her favorite!
Friday night, Alexa had Peyton sleep over and the girls stayed up until who knows When(I think it was midnight) as I fell asleep.. They beat me by staying up!
Saturday, the girls played all day while I cleaned and got LOTS of stuff done.. Scott will come home to a clean house! Then Saturday night we went to Linders Garden Center and they had a tree lighting ceremony. Santa was there and they had hayrides, cookies, yummy food(Booya), and Reindeer! It was a Great time! They did the countdown and sang songs as we stood in the cold, but 150,000 lights was fun to see lit up.
Sunday, we got up and got Alexa ready for hockey and they changed the time and I did not check the website, so we showed up after practice. Oh well.. We cleaned and baked today and Now we are off to get Scott from the airport! Ahhh.. To have hubby home! 4 weeks til Scott and I are off to Vegas!

Happy Halloween!
I went to Caribou with Tamara this morning and she brought her little daughter Libby.. Wow-- do her and Andrea look like Twins! I think Tamara ordered me a Triple shot, as WOW, was I buzzing for the coffee today! Good day, as I had to run and get candy.. ( I know last minute, but then I would not eat it) Had to pay some bills and then went to Alexa's school for the School Halloween parade! It is SO much fun to see all the kids dressed up and see all the kids in the school. I stayed after the parade and the kids played Bingo and drank juice and a snack. I toook Alexa home and ran to get a pizza for supper at Papa Murphy's. Got home and Andrea fell asleep, so she got up and we got the kids ready and OFF they went trick or treating. Andrea LOVED getting candy and Scott took her out to a few houses and said Andrea said Treat and Thank You... So she knows about Treats!!! She came home with her Elmo bucket full and was so proud! Alexa and Scott went out POWER trick or treating to get LOTS of candy! She came home 2 times and dumped out her Loot! WOW! She is a Quick and is on a Mission to get all she can!
This weekend is nothing but RUN RUN RUN!!
Scott leaves Sunday morning ,so we will get up early to take him there! WE will SO miss him but will keep busy! Scott and I leave in 6 weeks for Vegas baby! WOW, I better go on a Crash diet! See-- that's Why I waited until today to buy my candy.

We Need Cake!
This is my little blog’s One Hundredth Post! It was aliitle over a year or so that I created "Our Girls" as a way to share stories and images from our adoption from Guatemala and to keep friends and family filled in on our Journey and events in our lives, and I decided to keep it going after we brought Andrea home, as It has been a place for me to keep my friends, post my thoughts and feelings. My family does not read it too much anymore, and if they do, too shy to say anything or they never say anything. I have kept up with my blog, as it will be fun to look back and have it all documented and photos on everything going on in our lives.

What a WILD time!!!

Alexa Got a GREAT Opportunity to go to the WILD Hockey Clinic with Brad Bombadier and Darby Hendrickson leading the clinic. She had to choose 1 friend and that was a HARD Decision, so she drew a name and got Stephanie, who is on her hockey team. WE got Alexa out of School @ 2pm and We got Stephanie and headed to the Xcel Energy Center.
WE waited and they led us to the Locker room- We were in the Minnesota Swarm locker room, right across the hall from the WILD's locker room. WE got in the lockerroom and they had everyone's jersey's hanging with their name plaques and a puck. The girls got their Gear on and headed out on the ice...Alexa went on and Darby said Hello ALEXA.... Alexa of course, being curious, wondered How did he know my name?!!!(she has a piece of tape on her helmet with her name on it).. They skated and did drills and played passing with Darby and Brad and then they did a scrimmage and Alexa -- I swear, she was a different KID skating.. She was aggressive, and went after the puck and skated with it and shot a goal on Darby, who was the goalie! She LOVED it and her confidence went SKY high! When they were doing drills, she was passing everyone and looked AWESOME! Alexa muttered something to me after that Brad or Darby told her nice job!
After the practice, they saw Brad and Darby, and they signed her jersey and her name plaque. She was thrilled and she was excited, and then they both shook her hand.
We got all ready to go and get a meal they gave to the skaters and the girls eat and then they were still HUNGRY, so we drive and stop at MacDonald's and get them a little bite, as they have regular hockey practice right after... So we get them to hockey practice and Boy oh Boy, you can tell Alexa and Stephanie were TIRED! Alexa lost all her steam and she was tuckered out!!
It was such a FUN experience for Alexa and Stephanie!!!!!!!!
Those memories of it will last a Lifetime!

Been a Long week

I have had a Terrible head cold and cough..so I basically feel like Crap!
It all started on Sunday when I was leaving Scrapbooking. I had a FUN time scrapbooking. I can not wait to do it next Spring there! IT is at a Christian Camp www.bigsandycamp.com . They have food and lots of snacks and Coffee.. LOTS of Coffee!a spot to work, 2 vendors, so if you forgot something, it is there and then the lake.. Which is always enjoyable to sit and day dream. I did alot of sitting out on the dock, talking on my cell phone this trip, as I talked to my mom and Alexa, as my grandma passed away.
I left Sunday around noon and took the LONG way home, as I kind of got lost, but it was a Nice drive, by myself.. Quiet.. I listened to my own music or just silence. When I got home, it was dinner time and I picked up Jimmy John's and ate and took a few bites and Jimmy John's did not look good, so I know I must be sick! I started to feel sick with a headache and fever. It has been here all week.. Still here.. but getting better. I am going to kill my liver with Motrin and Tylenol.
WE had my Grandma's funeral on Wednesday. It all went good and she is now in Heaven and the service was very special. My Grandma was a special lady.
This weekend, Scott is going to his brothers to go Pheasant hunting and taking both dogs. Thanks god, as since I have been home, the dogs and Andrea think 5 am is time to get up... Alexa is having a friend sleep over and we will go out to eat some where yummy tonight.. Next Wednesday night, Alexa is doing a skating Clinic at the Xcel Energy Center with 2 former Defense men from the Minnesota Wild. She is SO Excited and they get a Jersey,Puck and supper and to skate with the 2 Wild players.
We also have the Halloween Party and Parade to go to for a bit, but Alexa has a Birthday party, so we will duck out early.
We got Scott's trip all planned out for Vancouver in 3 weeks...
I am trying to possibly plan a trip for me and the girls to go to California or to Montreal or Maine next Spring.. Can't decide where?! I want to do them all! If I go to Montreal, I will drive.. Which is a Long drive, but so Beautiful! I also want to go to Guatoberfest next fall and we are going to go to Pennsylvania next summer to go to Sesame Place. So, I better start saving!

Today is 2 years since Our Sweet Silvia passed away. I now have my Grandma that passed away last night in Heaven to watch over our Sweet Silvia.
There is not a day that goes by that we do not think of our Silvia and pray for her, as we do miss her.
She is our Angel in Heaven watching over us to protect our family.
She was brought to us for a special reason and left our lives way to soon, and she sure has meant alot to us and our family and always will.
We Love you Silvia.

I just got the call from Mom, that my Grandma just passed away at 9:10 pm tonight.
My Mom said she went Very peacefully and was surrounded by Family.
My Grandma is now on her new Journey in Heaven.
I LOVE You Grandma and Will Miss You and The Great memories You have given to us over the years and I will Never forget You and you will be dearly missed and now you can have your new life in Heaven with your Husband you lost in 1982 (my Grandpa). I am sure my Dad wuill find you in Heaven and Please say Hello to him.. I miss and Love You Guys!

No Change On Grandma

I am at my scrapbook weekend in McGregor, Minnesota. It is raining here and the lake Big Sandy is Beautiful!!!! Love Fall....

I called my mom this morning and no real change, besides, she had a small fever last night and is dehydrated..Has not moved a muscle. The nurses come in and move her around Every few hours.
Some one is with her around the clock. We do not know why she is hanging on...
Marj( her daughter is coming in tonight at 11 or so as is Henrietta from Montreal

We are continuing to pray for Grandma and pray her new journey in her new life.

Scott has the girls and they are having fun! They are biking to his sisters today to see his mom, as she had surgery on Thursday and when awaking, she had TIA's(resemble a stroke). So keep her in your prayer also!

Thanks so much for all your sweet words on my blog and emails....
I am here 2.5 hours away from home and have my cell phone close to me. I have chatted with Alexa a few times... She is my Sweet Sweet girl! She is taking care of Scott and Andrea.. she is a Little Mommy, that is for sure!

My Grandma

My Grandma was moved to the Special Hospice room today, as they do not know how long she has...and they think she has few days to live....But no one knows..
I am SO glad I went to see her Last Night. Even though it was so hard to see her how she is now..
I know she did not know me.. I tried to tell her about our trip to California 14 years ago and how we flew to go see Pat(her daughter) and we walked and walked in Marina Del Rae and how we went to Disney and Grandma went on a roller coaster.. that when she was 85! My Grandma sat in her wheelchair last night and she is all of 80 lbs now and looked at me a few times and she looked like it HURT when I was telling our story when we were in California.. It was like she wanted to remember, but just could not...
I said my Goodbye's to her, telling her how much I loved her. I know that it was probably the last time I would see her.
Alexa said I gave her 10 kisses, but I never actually counted, but I know she does not have long and saying Goodbye is hard to say to some one..... Brings me back to the memories with my Dad, wishing I would have kissed him More and told him I loved him more...I know he knew.....
We went back by the nurses station and I started to cry. So sad to see her..as she has declined So fast..She tried to talk and you can't hear or understand her. She has had dementia for a good year now and and it is just sad to see her living like that.
The Family has been called, so my Aunt from Maine is coming home to MN, as so is my Aunt from California, as my aunt from Montreal. So I guess we just wait...:( She is on Oxygen and Pain meds to keep her comfortable, sleeping, peacefully. My Mom stayed with her last night and my Cousin Jill and aunt Barb are with her today.
Please say some prayers for My Grandma and Our family..and pray for sweet Grandma on her New Journey..Up to Heaven..
This Sunday the 12th, will mark 2 years that Silvia passed away... :(

Asthma Troubles

Alexa has had a long weekend.. She went with Scott Duck hunting and she Did Awesome and LOVED it!! They only saw a few ducks flying and shot once or twice. Brandi and Bella loved being in the wild, running free and crazy! I picked her up Saturday afternoon in St. Cloud and then picked up her friend Peyton and brought her to our house, for a sleepover.. Alexa and Peyton hung out and did girl stuff(played Nintendo DS and wrote in their Journals and watched the Simpsons).. Alexa crashed around 11 or so and woke up all wheezy! :(
So we started with the Inhalers and then took Peyton home around 3 or so and her asthma was getting worse, so we started the Nebulizer with Albuterol. Her Peak Flow meter was at 100 meters. How much air she can blow out(Normal for her is around 300) so we knew she is already in the RED zone (Which in Astmha terms Get help ASAP)! So she started the steroid to open her lungs up... I HATE when she is on it, as she is WIDE awake.. HUNGRY and very whiny... and I hate it all the more, as it makes her develop even MORE than she already is..When she turned 7.. she started to develop! She is getting underarm hair, and that means... She will be having hair- You know where soon! :( ANYWAYS- Sorry to discuss her development issues with you all, but is saddens me as she is growing up faster than she should be...none of her friends are even CLOSE to developing or anything..so that makes her sad and we have been discussing it with her Pediatrician and she is WONDERFUL! Just sad to think she will be 9 and have her period.... :( I buy Organic fruits and veggies and the Milk that does not have Hormones and make sure my meats don't either! I guess all I can do is Keep Trying and hope it can slow it down. I could put her on a medication called Lupron But WON'T.. I had to take Lupron when we were going through Infertility and HATED IT, so I Will not put her on that. They have a name for girls that develop earlier...It is precocious puberty. The earlier she gets her period... Well... You only fertile for so LONG-- So she could hit menopause at age 30! :(
So back to her asthma.. She has been home Monday and Tuesday from School and PRAY she goes tomorrow. I just want her Better! Her classmate Jake, that lives a few houses down is bringing her homework home today.
Tonight, We are going to go visit my 98 year old Grand Mother. She is in a nursing home and has Severe Dementia. She has not been eating or drinking and sleeps.. They do not think she will make it much longer.
Bella went to Puppy class last night and was good-:) I have to find a sitter though, as Andrea would go up to every dog and try to kiss it..Which was CUTE.. But can't have her doing that!

Little House on the Prairie Musical

We went to the Little House on the Prairie Musical Play last night at the Guthrie. It was good!
Ma Ingalls, was played by Melissa Gilbert (Laura from the TV show)
Alexa really enjoyed it and said she can not wait to watch more of the movies on DVD.
We got home around 10:30, so she is going to be a tired girl today in school.
Scott is going duck hunting this weekend, with a couple of his good buddies Coop and Dave and Scott is going to take Alexa Friday night and hang out with the GUYS and 1 other guy is bringing his son who is 6. They will get up Saturday morning and start hunting @ 9 am. She will just sit and watch..she LOVES that! Scott will bring her bow and her BB gun, to let her do that later, after hunting is done. They will hunt for a while 4 pm and then I will meet Scott later that evening and she will come home. She will SO love it!!!! Duck hunting with Daddy, and hunting with Brandi(Our yellow Lab)! I hope the Ducks are Flying!!! He is bringing Bella also..to teach the Pup what to do and to sit and watch for birds... i told Scott to bring his Camera...But.. WE will see....

Thursday, Amy and Grace, (the little girl I watch) Andrea and I went to HCMC Hospital, and Grace and Andrea did a little video on safety in the kitchen/bathroom and were little models, to make a video for new families that do not speak English. Grace and Andrea did a great Job! Thursday night, I went By myself to Costco and wandered around and got LOTS of groceries. LOVE their Produce Dept.. Lots of organic stuff Cheap and in Big quantity of course!
I love going to the store and I can actually LOOK and read the labels...and not her I Want this and Andrea screaming OUT... It was SO relaxing! I even had my Starbucks in hand, so that made it even more heavenly.
Scott was in a broom ball tournament this weekend.. He did good! I think!? Sore shoulder, but OK! He has to get ready for WORLD in Vancouver in 7 weeks!
Yesterday, we went to Church and then went to the Apple Orchid! Yummy! Love this time of the year! I love the colder mornings and the days getting shorter... I guess I am done with summer in a way and I am looking forward to Fall... Showing Andrea all about jumping in the leaves..the Fall smells... Hockey!
Tonight, Scott is taking Alexa to go shoot her bow and arrow and train Miss Bella. Bella starts classes on the 6th for Obedience. She is 30 lbs! We had microchip implanted, so if she gets lost, we can find her- We had to go see if it shifted and it didn't.. Thank Goodness!
This Wednesday night, My Mom and Alexa and I are going to The Play
"Little House on the Prairie" at the Guthrie. I am excited, as I loved that show when I was a little gal, and Alexa likes to watch it! So, I am anxious to see her reaction and how they actually do this!?! Alexa is missing hockey and Scott is watching Andrea.
Can you believe it is almost October? Yikes! I was in Costco and they have their Christmas stuff out..
Scott is going Duck hunting this weekend! It is going to be colder, so hopefully the Ducks are flying! The following weekend, I am going scrap booking! I can not wait! It is in McGregor and I am leaving Friday afternoon.. Some KERI time! Some peace and Quiet and getting some scrapping DONE!
I wish I were going to Guatoberfest in Myrtle Beach and meeting some of my Blogger buddies, but I guess it will be Next year! I can not wait to hear all about it and see photos! So I better save for that for next year, as I will be taking the girls..

Helluva Weekend

Let's See.. Where should I start-- I 'll start on Friday I guess.
Andrea and I went and ran errands and then Scott came home to get ready to go Grouse hunting with is work for the weekend. Then us girls went out to eat and hung out and watched movies, at least Alexa and I did. We watched College Road Trip.
Saturday, we got up early and ran to Cabela's as they had a sale from 8-12 and we needed an we dehydrator. I also,got the girls matching Columbia Camo jackets for fall.. Then we come home and get Andrea to take a nap and then off to Ellie's Birthday party. The kids had a blast there, running around..They had a pinata with lots of candy! We ate halibut, Salmon and the fixings the kids ate hot dogs and stuff. Craig(Ellie's Dad) just got back from Alaska. We got home around 11 pm and Scott got home shortly after that, as he left early to help me out on Sunday.
Scott woke up and said his chest hurts, but said he was OK. We went to church and Scott stayed with Alexa for her Bible day and I took Andrea to church. Andrea loves going to Children's time, She swayed and danced to "This little light of Mine"! We come home and My mom came over to watch the Girls, as Scott and I go to a Vikings Game. We watched the game and hung out, but Scott told me his chest still really hurt and his hands and arms are numb... We get home and he rests and he just laid around. Finally around 6 m , he said he should maybe go in?!, so we pack up the girls and take him to Urgent Care. They hook him up to the EKG machine and run some tests. They said let's do some Nitroglycerin spray and Aspirin and wait and see how it feels.. It did not change and his EKG was normal, but EKG's do not always show heart attacks, and said we should go to the hospital...So Scott said since he had felt this was all day and I could take him to the hospital and so I did... Well, we made it 6 blocks and he said Go back to Urgent Care or call 911... I started to freak OUT.. I was driving 55 MPH and I had to stay calm, as Alexa was already a nervous wreck... So.. I called 911 and parked the car and the Police, Ambulance came and found my car parked on the side of the road. so, They took him to the hospital ER and would not let me back there...It is now 9 PM.. My girls are tired and Alexa is worked up.!! We WAITED and WAITED and finally I went and asked the front desk dude and went to see him- They gave him more Nitro, Morphine and has O2 and an IV in-- I Was thinking OMG..Did he have a heart attack or what?! He said his chest still hurt, but not as bad (Morphine). So we sat and waited and they did Chest Xrays and drew labs and we waited... I did call Scott's Mom and she and Scott's Dad came to the hospital..I took Scott's mom to my place and I put the kids to bed and went to the hospital and she stayed here, I left knowing Scott was talking and feeling OK and the Dr would be in after all the tests were in... I got back and the Dr had not been in yet..Well at 2 am, The Dr said the enzymes in the blood looked great and did not show a heart attack, so that was good, but wanted him to do a stress test in 24 hours. So they sent Scott home... They think it was muscles, but could did not think it was serious. So.. WE got home around 3 ish and went to bed! Scott, the workaholic he is and has to be, went to work @ 7 am...So he did his stress test and the results came in today and it was normal! THANK GOD!!!! He had me freaked out and Alexa ...As she is so close to her daddy and she has him wrapped around her finger..
Alexa was very frightened, that something was wrong with her daddy... Thanks goodness all came out OK!
Scott said he knows he will need new knees, but not a heart! LOL
Monday, I took Andrea to her 2 year check up. She is 30.5 inches tall and is 25 lbs. She is a shorty and a little peanut! She is right on for everything.
She had 2 shots and is ALL caught up on them Now!
Monday night, Scott's Dad and Jan took us out for Andrea's Birthday and we chose Space Aliens for the girls to play, as she played games and we ate and hung out.. WE all come home and Crash!
That was my weekend... This weekend, Scott is playing in an Broom ball tournament. I am going to the Apple Orchid and getting some Honey Crisp Apples!
The little girl I watch Grace, Her mom Amy is having her Baby tomorrow, so we are going to go visit her and her new little baby tomorrow afternoon, so I best get to the store tonight to get them something! I am going to Costco and getting groceries.. WOOHOO! It has been old mother Hubbard's Bare cupboards here.

Did you see I posted New photos?! I went back and added some form this summer Fun!
Today is my little Andrea's 2nd Birthday! WOW has the time flown... I remember the day when we were decided on accepting her referral,as we had a hard time,alot going on ,as Silvia just passed away and I felt guilty,starting over and I felt I was just forgetting about Silvia, but I knew we had to keep the ball rolling, as Who knew what Guatemala adoptions Hague stuff was coming..
We accepted Andrea's referral 2 weeks after Silvia. Andrea was so tiny and so beautiful. A little Pumpkin.. We got new photos and a video and she was the CUTEST little thing. She was so animated and happy... She was smiling at the foster mom, Iris and so precious! Months went by and we got more videos and photos a few times before I went to see her when she was 5 months old.
We went to Visit and I saw her at the Tikal, sitting on her foster mom's lap. I could not get down the elevator fast enough.. I hugged the foster mom and she handed me Andrea and the flood gates of tears opened up. I was really holding her.. I felt So in Love again..Happy...Telling the foster mom to Take extra care of her and told her why..The foster mom just hugged me and told me something in spanish. I knew she was in good hands.. I felt so much better leaving Guatemala.(even though after being with Andrea a whole week) it is hard to leave them there, as the Bond is there... Months passed again and we got more videos and photos, falling more and more in love with this sweet little girl. Months passed and finally got to the call topick her up and bring her home. Alexa finally got to meet her sister.. Scott got to experience the bond you feel when you first see them and hold them. He said he had no clue, as he did not visit, but the foster mom handed Andrea to him and he had tears in his eyes, so I know he felt that great bond and relief after all that time waiting. You cannot ever forget that time when they hand over your child..after months and months of waiting. The parents are so happy and the foster family is in tears and you feel for them, as they have had these Children since they were first born basically, raising them as their own. I think it was 20 months from the time we started the whole adoption process, to when we picked Andrea up, so when I hear ladies say their wait is forever when they are pregnant, I don't give alot of sympathy. LOL
The time we have had her now for 14 months have been so wonderful- She is so amazing and such a happy girl. She wakes up smiling and cuddly. She is booming with learning everything..Seeing things through a toddlers eyes is always exciting, as they have so much to look forward to, as it is all so new! She could teach us all a few things.
I Thank Andrea's Birth Mom today for Andrea. Andrea' Birth Mom Juana is my hero. I can't imagine how hard it is to give up your child(I am adopted and don't know how my birth mom did it either) and I give them the upper most credit and bravery. We think of her alot and we pray for her in Guatemala and pray she is safe and happy and we pray that to let her know, we are taking good care of her, like she would have wanted for her and Thank her a 1000 times.
There is not a day we do not think of Silvia and pray for her. Andrea will know she has a sister in Guatemala, that was meant to be with God and be Our Angel and Andrea was meant to be with us, with Silvia watching over us.

RAINY WEEKEND! for Andrea's Birthday Party

We had Andrea's Birthday Party Yesterday and guess what? It Rained! Of Course it rained-- We rented a Jumpy...But all went OK and we managed. Andrea jumped for a while and she was quite shy and cried, as she wanted to be right next to me the first hour. She had not seen many in a long time and a big crowd, she was extra clingy.. I can't imagine what goes on in her mind--Does she think some one is going to take her? I wish I knew what she thought right now.I can't imagine what she thinks or feels. I would be scared too if I was around strange people and they were all googling over me.(wait, I might like that)LOL
Alexa and Andrea played with the kids and jumped in the jumpy... Andrea ate her "Elmo" cupcake and Alexa helped blow out the candles. She opened presents and she opened 1 and went to play or got distracted. She got LOTS of CUTE stuff! She loves her Babies and anything Dora or Elmo...
Andrea did goon last week in her First ECFE Class.. She played and shared great- But when we separated, she SCREAMED! She would cry and then stop.. Her cry was So sad...
This WEEK, is BUSY BUSY..
Tonight, we are dropping off my car as the warranty is almost up..and it is NOW paid Off!
I will be home bound tomorrow and Scott has broomball game tomorrow night, as we are chatting to see if he is going to a WORLD Tournament in November in Vancouver, Canada.. for a week.
Tuesday, Andrea goes to ECFE and Alexa starts hockey... WOO HOO!
Wednesday..I am watching Grace and I and Scott have a taste test. I am going to a meeting to be on the Advisory Council for ECFE, and bringing the girls so Alexa can go see the new ECFE place.
Thursday night is Alexa's school open house and then I go play Bunco.
This weekend, Scott's work is taking him and others to go pheasant hunting and play golf.
Saturday is Andrea's Official 2nd Birthday and we are going to Apple Valley for Ellie's 6th Birthday Party (Andrea shares Ellie's Birthday and our neighbor Ryan's Birthday) There is alot more, but don't need to bore you anymore... If you visit, sign my guestbook!

Is Fall coming So Soon....

It is COLD out today! I woke up @ 6 and it was 49 degrees! Brr.
Friday, Andrea and I met with Stephanie and Lisa at Panera and chatted- Stephanie bought a house! They move in 2.5 weeks! I am so happy for you girl! Andrea and I then did some shopping. She is my little shopper. I also had a mystery shop to do and that was alot of FUN!
Saturday, we got packed up and went to Stillwater for the Guatemala picnic. It was so fun and lots of kids! Andrea jumped in the bouncy castle, and swung on the swing set, and wandered around. I finally met Families that we met through the adoption process. It was so fun to actually meet them in person! The Picnic was so organized and great food! I had lots of fun! Next year, my hubby is coming, so I can chat and he can run after the kids. Since Scott was in Stillwater, we stopped at the hunt test to see him judging the dogs. It was a beautiful day! WE sat on the hill watching the dogs for a while, until Scott was done judging. We said Hello and watched our doggies swim and run and then we drive home and go to Costco to figure out what cake to get for Andrea.
Sunday was the first day for Sunday School. We got there and Alexa's class is HUGE! There are 12 girls and 4 boys. She has 1 friend from school and 1 from her hockey team, plus others that have been in her class since she was 3.
They offer a 2 year old Sunday school class, but Andrea wanted NOTHING to do with that.. So she came to church with me and she never sat still. She would run out of the pew, yell and not let me read to her. She did fold her hands and say AMEN alot! That was CUTE as Ever! I let her color and play with my cellphone. She did ok, for an almost 2 year old.
We came home and Alexa played with friends and Andrea napped. We then went to the Timberlodge with my mom and brother and his 2 boys for my Mom's Birthday. My nephews are going to play football this fall. I can not wait to go watch them! WE came home and cleaned and Alexa cleaned her room and got the girls ready for bed.
This week is Watching Grace on Monday and Alexa is coming home to mow the lawn.
Tomorrow, Andrea starts her First ECFE class Master Movers! I am So excited for her to start and get to play with kids her age and I can have my 1/2 hour mommy chats! If she does not scream when I leave.
It is my Mom's official Birthday also, so after Andrea's school, we will go and take her out for lunch and bring her flowers.
Thursday marks 4 years since my dad has passed away, so I will be having a hard day with that.. but will be keeping busy getting ready for Andrea's Birthday party on Saturday.

Labor Day came and went.. WOW! This summer flew! WE had a Great summer and did all we wanted to do and more! On Labor Day, We went as a family to Como Zoo and looked at Animals and the girls went on rides. Alexa took Andrea on the tea cups and Andrea loved to spin. Alexa got it to spin a little fast, and Andrea had a face of OMG, I am going to get sick..Scott and I were laughing! WE came home and did lots of yard work,and housework. AS for you wondering about Scott's toilet project.. The toilet worked FINE for about 2 hours and flushed fine and then he did it again and it flooded my bathroom.... The toilet has a crack, so need to get a new toilet. Which hopefully will get put in Sunday, as he is gone all this week and weekend. We are going tonight to go pick it up.
Yesterday, Alexa started school again! Sorry I did not post, but I could not get into my emails yesterday.
Alexa got up @ 7am and Scott made her an Ham and Cheese Omelet and bacon and Orange Juice. She gobbled that up and then went and got dressed and all dolled up. We went out side and we did some photos and then all the kids came to bus stop and did all those photos and then the bus came and Off she went to 3rd grade! She came off the bus and said she had a "Great Day"! She loved her teacher and had fun meeting new friends. She has 2 girls that she went to preschool with, so that is fun to re unite a friendship after 4 or 5 years! We went out to eat last night and then ran to Target and CVS. Andrea woke up the night before with a fever...UGH and I needed to stock up on medicines! I hope I do not have to deal with SICK kids again this year! Alexa was sick SO much last year!
We set the date for Andrea's Birthday party.. We are not sure of the lunch menu yet, but going to rent a bouncer for her, as she loves to bounce. I better get that ordered! I went All inexpensive on the invites and did EVITE... that is SO unlike me! I saved $15 on invites and postage.! We are having Andrea's party on the 13th, as Scott will be gone her Birthday weekend, as his work is taking him to Super nice resort to golf,and pheasant hunt. HE gets so many nice perks! The last weekend in September, Scott is in a broom ball tournament and we have plans with friends for a Hay Ride/poker party the following weekend and then we are both gone the 1st weekend in October.. FALL is here..GO GO GO and Hockey starts the 16th! Hunting has already started and Scott is eager to get out..
Scott has the Hunt Test this weekend in Stillwater and I have an Guatemalan Picnic in Stillwater. I am anxious to meet alot of people on blogs and through the adoption process and now we mostly have all out kids home and we can meet in real person!
I will try to upload new photos from the first day, as I have really cute one's of the girls!
I am off to make lunch for Andrea and Grace. I am watching Grace 3 times a week. Andrea and Grace are 9 days apart. They are playing good together. SO far...!

Labor Day Weekend

WOW- It is Labor Day weekend already! It just seemed like it was memorial weekend!
We opted to stay home this year and not camp, as we did so the weekend before and we had some stuff to do.
We went to Alexa's school Wednesday and met her new Teacher. Ms. Lindo. Alexa really seemed to like her and Alexa is super excited to start next week. Our Big 3rd Grader!
She can not decide Which outfit to wear.
Thursday, we went to the State Fair! We took a bus to the fair and Andrea Loves BUSES. Every time we see a bus, she screams BUS....even when she is in one!
We got there and walked around and ate a few things and went to the Miracle baby animals and saw pigs and sheep, and cows. She loved the cows, but was scared of the sheep at first. We saw baby piglets being born. I felt so bad for the mama pig, as they have them in a pen laying down, so they do not squish the piglets and not alot of room to move around. She had 9 piglets! Way to go Miss Mama Piggy!
We stopped at the Giant Slide and Scott, Alexa and Andrea went down the slide and I tried to take 4 photos and either some one walked in front of my camera and then I got 1 photo and guess what? My camera batteries DIED... :( I was so mad....I just changed the darn things.. Lithium do not mean CRAP, expect spend more money and get not much more tan regular batteries.. So.. We tried to find batteries at the fair. No luck.. So I guess it will be a Krumm Memory.
We went to see our Neighbor, Derek play in the young Teen contest at the Leine's stage at the Fair. He played His song, He wrote it and played it and guess what? He Won 1st Place! He is now playing tonight at the Grandstand! I can not wait to hear all about it! I am So excited for him! He is a great kid, great composer and I love listening to him play!
We went on the open sky ride and Andrea and Alexa were wiggly and I am scared of heights. So I kept saying Sit back please! We ate LOTS of yummy food and did lots of walking and we broke the stroller. We got our free bags, photo at the Education building and listened to West the band the Leine's Stage. Scott took the girls in the Space needle. I opted out, as I had enough of the heights!
Friday, we had my friend and her kids here, who I am going to watch a few days a week. Grace is 9 days younger than Andrea, so Andrea and Grace will have Fun together!
Saturday, we smelled Sewer in our bathroom, so Scott took the toilet apart and got a new ring on it and put it back together. Well, The pipes started rattling downstairs.
There is a leak in the toilet or somewhere, so Scott is getting parts today and fixing it. I hope it works... being down to 1 potty with a young teen girl is tough! She is 8 and spends alot of time in the bathroom already!
Alexa had her friend Peyton sleep over last night. They were up until Midnight or so. Bella woke up @ 6 am barking- she has been doing so good, getting up @ 7. so 6 was early this morning. The Girls had the Nintendo DS's and playing them and talking Girl stuff they said.
Today for me, I am taking the girls to my mom's and getting stuff done there for a while, returning books at the library.
Tomorrow, Labor Day, we are taking the girls to Como Town, as I have to use the last 15 tickets I had left over, so we do not waste them. We are also grilling out steaks.
We will probably take the puppies swimming again. Bella is smart.. She knows how to sit, Here, down, heel, and retreive!

Did you see I finally POSTED Photos?! How you ask? Well, I delete ALOT of stuff from my computer and hoped it worked! Wallah...It did!
This past week was FUN and busy....
We went to the Star Wars Exhibit at the Science Museum! It was pretty cool, but Andrea so did not like it. She screamed every time we would get close to Yoda or any character. Scott and Alexa were in heaven! She loves Star Wars, just like her Daddy does!
Wednesday, We finally got to meet Ezra, He is such a HONEY! He came home June 7th and just turned 3. It was fun visiting with Cathie and Tracy.
We ate and the kids all played and Alexa stacked Lego's as tall as her. After we left there, I went to a new chiropractor,and all he kept saying is WOW, that is not good. I had X Rays and he said I need a good treatment plan. My right leg is 2.5 inches shorter than my other and my neck is a mess..( I have heard that from every chiropractor) So.. Now I start going 3x a week. I hope it works, as I am always in pain with my back or neck and he is going to help ME with my TMJ!
Friday, we pack up and go camping with Scott's Bosses RV. The girls had a BLAST! It was pretty cold all weekend though, so not much swimming. The girls went on the paddle boat a few times and they had hayrides, and All you can eat Corn on the cob!
WE went for a bike ride and went to the park and the Train Ride around the campground. The girls Loved it, as he would swerve and blow his whistle. I am so glad we were in the RV, as it was so cold at night...BRRR. We have our campfire and did sparklers and hung out and ate smores and Alexa took Andrea to bed and they watched a movie. Alexa brought her motorized scooter and rode that around, but the owner does not like Scooters, so he told her to make sure she goes "UNDER 5 mph" Which it goes about 11 tops! So Alexa, who does not like to get in trouble, drove it slow and made sure "Wally" was not watching! We so hope to buy a Travel Trailer next year to camp. It is SO nice and easy to pack and unpack. We will SEE.. Have a few more bills to pay for.. Making Our last Mini Van payment in 2 weeks!
Yesterday, we got home around 3 ish and unpacked and then took Bella swimming at Long Lake. She loved it! She is going to be a great bird dog. She is really Smart!
This week.. Today.. Laundry and cleaning the RV and the girls are going to my Mom's, so I can go give blood. We may go to the Como Zoo tomorrow, as we have ride tickets to use up yet and Scott wants to go.
Wednesday is Meet and greet your teacher at Alexa's school and Thursday, we are going to the Fair! Love going to the Fair! We got our tickets early, to save some money..Can not wait to show Andrea the cows and animals at the Fair. Alexa just wants to ride the "Big Slide"!
We are starting to wind down this week, as school starts next week and need to get back on a schedule.
Please pray for the family from Wisconsin that were in Plane crash in Guatemala this past weekend.

Another Busy Weekend

This weekend was FUN and go go go all the time!
Friday morning, Alexa and I cleaned the house and ran errands. Friday afternoon, Alexa went her friend Carl swimming for a few hours. We we went and ate at Pizza Hut and then went to Cathie's and saw her wonderful photos of their trip to Colorado. We came home and my Mom and my cousin Eric from Montreal had arrived... They came and hung out and we chatted. HE is such a Great guy.. He came here to see my 98 year old grandmother. She has severe dementia and they said months and months ago, that she would be gone and she is still here alive and kicking!
Saturday we got up early and headed to Game Fair. www.gamefair.com . Alexa, Andrea and I and Bella, and not Brandi, walked around and looked at stuff and Bella made lots of new doggie friends. Scott worked at the Land of Lakes Hunting Retriever Club Booth for a while ( http://www.llhrc.org/ ) We were there for a few hours and then had to boogie out of there, to get Alexa to her friend Sami's Birthday party. They had a fun Pool/Waterslide party. LOTS of kids and friends! Alexa had a great time! They went to Sami's Hockey game in Coon Rapids and then back to Sami's for more swimming. Scott biked over there and brought her home @ 9 pm.
Sunday, we attended the Las Ninas Del Quetzal Fundraiser. They had Guatemalan handcrafts, food, music, prizes, games and a song and dance performance by Las Ninas Del Quetzal. Las Ninas Del Quetzal is a folk dance group of Guatemalan girls ages 5-8. We had fun and met a few new people and Andrea met little John(in photos) he is such a honey! My friend Michelle and her son Cole were there also, another CUTIE!
Alexa, Andrea and I then drove past my old house in Maplewood (where I grew up)and went to a park I used to go to all the time. (Silver Lake) They have an old Metal slide that spirals around and around.. The same playground is there from when I was a kid... Not up to date, but fun as ever! Alexa said to me... "this is what they had for playground stuff in the old days?" OLD DAYS.... She is so funny! We stopped at Dairy Queen and got dipped ice cream cones and gobble them up and Andrea had it in her hair... all over her car seat and basically Everywhere! We get home and Alexa and Scott hang out and play Lego Star Wars and they decided to see the new Star Wars Movie. They went and had father daddy night.. they get home and Alexa rides her scooter for a while and I water my dying grass. The girls take a bath and get ready for bed. Alexa had a bad stomach ache all night.
Today, we get up and meet Lisa and Stephanie and the kids @ and let the kids play at a park before Alexa had her eye check appt. She does not need glasses yet... Her eyes still do look alittle Freaky from them dilating them.
Tomorrow is the Science Museum all day with Scott to see Star Wars. I then am going to go to Time Out and Support the Spring Lake Park Youth hockey Association and play Bingo.
Wednesday, My friend who brought Ezra home this early Spring, we are going to finally meet him!
We( Cathie and I and her family and us Krumm's) are having a play date and have lunch. We are getting Scott's Bosses RV for this weekend camping trip, so need to get packing and getting ready. We still need to fit the State Fair in and Como Zoo
before September 1st! Next week is going to be a SUPER Busy ONE! 15 days until school starts. I am starting to plan Andrea's 2nd Birthday party.. (Can You believe she is going to be 2? )!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where has this Summer GONE???!

This past week flew BYE again- The summer is going So fast this summer!
Thursday, Alexa had her Dentist appt and Ortho Appt. All went good= No cavities and wait until Feb to see Ortho again, as she needs to lose 2 more teeth. Later in the evening, we went to the New Brighton parade with the Gerards. We stopped and ate Jimmy Johns and went to the parade. There was a family of OLDER kids and the kid had this HUGE Afro and everyone threw candy and whatever to him... WHY? He would yell.. GIVE ME CANDY... And our kids would be waving their arms and they would throw it to them.. WEIRD... Then they had all their wrappers and they got up and left- with a garbage can 20 feet from them..?
Friday, Alexa, I and Andrea met Steph and her kids and Lisa and her kids at the Lion's park. WE had a picnic and the kids played and played... We stayed from almost 3 hours and we came home and play with Bella and Alexa cleaned her room.
Saturday, We get up and go to Letterman Sports Tent sale- They did not have anything we needed for Alexa's hockey this fall..( she needs ALOT, as she GREW so much from last year!) We then go drive to Prior Lake to hang out with the Relatives. Alexa and all the girl cousins got in the lake and swam, running off the docks and running around. We brought Andrea in and put her life jacket on, as she would walk a few inches and then it went over her head. She was splashing and loving the water. She LOVED being in the lake!! The lake water was like a bath tub. She did not like the rocks by the shore, she kept saying OUCH!!!
We ate LOTS and hung out and chat. Andrea loved my Cousin Rhonda's husband Piers. They live in Australia. She would smirk and smile at him and he would take her to wade in the water. Super CUTE.... We got home @ 8 pm or so and the kids were EXHAUSTED!
Sunday, Alexa sang at the Church she did VBS at here in Blaine. WE came home and Scott made Egg McMuffins. Alexa and I go shopping at Achiever's and get lots of stuff for our Scrapbook day. We got to the Church @ noon and we scrap booked until 10.30 pm- We were the last one's there at the church. I got 16 pages done!! I am getting caught up!
Alexa really does a great job on her scrap booking. She is going to make an album up of all her friends and school fun photos.
Monday, we get up and get ready to meet Sue and her gang at the Water park in Apple Valley. But to realize, I left Andrea's car seat in Scott's Suburban, as he watched Andrea all day the day before, as Alexa and I scrap booked and he ran errands and took Bella and Brandi Swimming. So Scott came home from work to give me the car seat. What a SWEETIE!!! So we left to Apple Valley Aquatic park. It was Super FUN! They have a huge pool and life guards and Andrea would walk until it was to her nose (little dare devil). I took her down the slide a few times, but it was hard to hold her UP above my head when we entered the water. She laughed and giggled the whole way down-- It was SO CUTE! They had a little slide for toddlers in the shallow end and Andrea loved those and the bubblers. We were there for 6 hours and we lathered the sunscreen on time after time, and Alexa and I still fried! We get home and Alexa went to Play net- She only has 2 times this week and she is done! Scott and Alexa play Lego Star Wars and she crashed....... Andrea crashed also.
Today, Alexa, Andrea and I went clothes shopping- Got lots of cute clothes and shoes for Alexa. I tried to get tennis shoes for Andrea, but the 6's were too small and the 7's were HUGE.. So I will wait for 2 more weeks.. They had the CUTEST pair of Sketchers for her! Tonight, I am going with my mom to her Bosses Party at his house in Maple Grove. They are having a band Scythian http://www.scythianmusic.com/ . My mom's bosses wife is cooking for some 250 people! It will be a FUN TIME! I have to go get ready to go, so I will update Soon! The rest of this week... Tomorrow night, I am in a focus group in Edina and Scott is taking Bella and the girls to her First Vet appt.... She is 20.9 lbs already!
She is getting HUGE... She is a smart doggie! She knows how to Sit, Come and Heel.
Friday, Scott is golfing in golf Tournament and Firday night, my cousin Eric from Montreal is coming in to see my grandma. Saturday we are getting up and takng the girls and Bella to Game Fair and then Alexa is going to her friend Sami's Birthday party and Scott is playing in a broomball tournament. Sunday is a Guatemala Fundraiser in Maplewood. They will have LOTS of Guatemala things to buy and Tamales to eat..I will support anything for Guatemala.. I hope they open thier adoptions soon, as on my friend's website, she said in Northern Guatemala, they found babies in dumpsters... Just breaks my heart!
I am hoping to meet some of my Guatemamma friends! If not Sunday, then on Sept 6th at the Guatemala Picnic in Stillwater. BUSY weekends Ahead!
3 more weeks until Alexa goes back to school! Woo HOO-- Did I say that???! LOL

It was a Fun weekend...

We left Friday night to go camping in Winona with Scott's brother Eric and his kids. We got there @ 8 pm, as we had to stop for gas and dinner. We got there and were setting up the tent almost in the dark. All the kids went to the park and played and played while we got set up. They all had fun seeing each other and playing. Andrea loved Justin right away!
We all hang out and ate hot dogs and enjoyed the campfire. It was almost midnight before we all went to bed. Bella and Brandi both slept until 7am!!! It was getting HOT in the tent already @ 7 am ,so I think they woke up from the heat. The kids got up and put on their swim suits and the pool did not open until 10. SO they ate breakfast and played at the park. Andrea loved following all the kids and playing. The kids finally got to go swim and they swam.. Eric's girlfriend Tera came with her 4 kids and they all swam and then played kid games and swam some more. We had lunch and Andrea was super tired, so I took her for a bike ride in our bike trailer and she slept for 45 minutes.. She was a sweaty little thing..
We all had an early supper and got all the kids ready with fishing poles and bait and all drove separately to find a place to go fishing.. We found a place in Winona. Fishing poles and hooks flying everywhere... Alexa was the first one to catch a fish. She caught a little bass. Then she caught a small fish(minnow size). Scott got Andrea's Barbie fishing pole all ready and she caught a fish too. Scott let her look and touch her fish and she kept saying fishy.. She touched it and said Yucky... All the kids were in their sandals splashing in the water and running around. A few more caught fish....Ethan (Tera's son, caught a Turtle). We leave the fishing place and Scott and I and the girls stop @ DQ for some ice cream. It tasted so good and refreshing, as it has been so hot! We got back to the campground and the kids go swimming for a bit, but it is now getting chilly. Tera and her kids left. We all go up to the karaoke and the DJ in the campground and the kids dance and hang out. It lasted until 10 pm and then we all gather around the campfire and ate smores,and had a great time chatting and just relaxing by the fire. Bella and Brandi napped right by the fire also.
Sunday, we all get up and Eric packed up and left, as they had plans in the early afternoon and we go eat at the pancake breakfast. WE get packed up and drive home. Alexa wanted Taco Bell and we could not find one for the life of us-- We finally found one in Cottage Grove! LOL We stop and eat and then we got home and unpack- Alexa, Andrea and I all go to bed at 9 or 10. MAN.... We were all exhausted!
Alexa started Bible Camp this week and is down to her last 2 weeks of Playnet.
I had a focus group last night and I got there and they over recruited, so they gave me my $100 check and I got to go home. It was National Night Out and Scott took the girls and they ate and played and the Fire truck from Spring Lake Park.
Tomorrow, Alexa has her Dentist and Orthodontist Consult appt. and tomorrow night, we are going to the New Brighton parade.
Friday, We are going to see Lisa and Stephanie and their kids and going to have a picnic lunch and play at a park, then have supper and then Scott is taking Alexa Friday night to go shoot her Bow and Arrow. She is Thrilled! HUNTING for Scott is coming up!
Saturday is a BIG Party on Prior Lake, as My cousin is here from Australia. So lots of food, swimming and fun. Alexa's cousins (5 are girls all around her age)will be there, so Alexa will have a great time.
Sunday, Alexa and I are going scrap booking from 2-10.. So I better get to Achiever's and get some stuff and get my photos developed! I will try to post photos of this past weekend.. but my computer has no memory left( me either)..WE hope to buy one in September, after we pay off my minivan.
Scott and I just booked an Anniversary trip for December!.. Scott and I are going to Vegas! :) Can not WAIT! I am going to go to a local casino soon and start practicing.. So if any one is wanting to go.. Let me know!
I went and pre ordered ELMO LIVE for Andrea. It comes out 10.14.08! She wil lso love it-- To see it, Google ELMO LIVE...

AUGUST 1st 2008

It has been 1 year today since we brought Andrea home...It seems like yesterday and then it seems like forever ago. It is a day I will never forget!.
We left Guatemala @ 4 am. and flew to Houston and all was good. We made it through Immigration and we were on our way to Minnesota, until we boarded the airplane and there was a huge storm moving through Houston, so we sat on the airplane(metal tube) in line to take off for almost 2.5 hours. It was like FOREVER! We finally took off 3 hours late..I knew some people were coming to see us at the airport and figured it will be around 6 or 7 when we got in, and since our plane was late, we did not expect anyone there.
We finally make it around 7 or a bit after..But as We got off the plane and walking through the terminal there were people everywhere, hovering around the Tv's and you could CNN on...and we saw the 35W bridge had collapsed. Scott and I were full of emotion, as we knew our plane was late and every one we knew would be coming over that bridge to the airport(around that time). We got all our stuff and we kicked it in High gear and went to Baggage claim... we took the elevator down to baggage claim and I heard cheering and screams.. Then I saw the Banner and saw our friends, and family.. WE MADE it HOME with Andrea! When I saw everyone, I started to cry...of happiness. The Journey to get Andrea is COMPLETE...She is home Forever! It was so great to see everyone there and everyone waited so long and got to finally meet Andrea. It was such a great feeling. We hung out and drove home.. The first time Andrea had been in a car seat and she was like WHAT are you doing to me NOW?? She screamed half the way home and we had to go the long way around, as the bridge was out. We came home to more friends and family. Another CUTE banner Welcoming Andrea home. WE came home to a meal Scott's sister made and Groceries my friend Cathie got for us.. What Angels, I tell you! We were starving and so nice we did not have to run out when we got home for Milk or bread... I had 100 calls from friends, making sure we made it home safe, as they knew we were coming home around that time.
It was a great day(besides sitting in an airplane for 9 hours),and to finally have her in "our" house. She seemed to feel so comfortable, like she has always been here. She went to bed in her crib and slept until 9 am the next day. After she went to bed, Scott and I went to go check on her, we both looked at her and we both said " We DID It" We got her home and she is ours": It was such an awesome powerful feeling... Alot of emotions and feelings that have been bottled up for so long, finally Let loose..
Well, that was a year ago-- Today, Andrea is running all over. Loves her blankey, Elmo, Hannah. She loves to see buses, trucks and puppies. Her new word is NO.... She is almost 23 months old. Andrea is potty training still, and is doing good... It is hard to potty train when she pees every 20 seconds and potty training a puppy! LOL Andrea likes to shop and LOVES McDonald's. She can spot my Caribou Coffee a mile away( and they said she may need glasses)....She does not like to come inside, after being outside. One thing for sure is she is Such a happy girl and goes with the flow( well now that she is almost 2, we will see...) I tried to take Alexa shopping for clothes and Andrea ran all over the store and ran away from me, so I need Scott to take her next time I guess.
We are packing and going camping this weekend with Scott's brother. The camp ground has LOTS of activities with a pool(good thing, as it is going to be 95 degrees here), fishing and an DJ to dance to Saturday night and a pancake breakfast on Sunday morning.
I have to brag here...Last week, Alexa mowed the Lawn... I was so proud if her- She just said for me to do the perimeter and she would do the rest, and she did! She even went around the trees and made straight lines.. She is growing up so fast..so now, I can pay her for mowing.. She gets weekly allowance, if she cleans and does her chores.

Today, 1 year ago, we were on our way to Guatemala,to sleep in our hotel 1 night and get up early to hop another airplane to Flores (45 minute flight), Guatemala to see the Mayan Ruins and the Jungle for a few days and then to pick Up Miss Andrea to bring home as our New Little Girl. It does not seem like it has been a WHOLE year.
Sunday is our "Gotcha Day", The day we got to Finally All be a Family together.. To hold you in our arms forever, no more seeing you through videos and photos..Checking my email daily, to see if there was any news on my case if you were coming home or not, or to go the Guatadopt website, to see if any news about Guatemala, as they could stop us from never bringing you home, as they were going to close the adoptions.. Watching you grow up with out us, No more traveling to Guatemala for a week and see you and love you up, and then have my heart break, as I hand you to Iris(Foster Mom). Finally, the day Alexa got to finally get to meet her sister, and be a Big Sister. The day Our Family was finally complete, after Many many years of disappointments of infertility with In vitro and the yucky shots and hormonal mood swings. If I would have known what it was like to adopt Andrea, I so would have NEVER went through all the In Vitro Cycles and the emotional roller coaster rides we went through..Not that we did not endure alot of rollercoaster moments with Andrea's adoption, but I would so adopt from Guatemala. if it were open to adopt and we had money.. I just love Guatababies!

This week flew by, probably as I am getting up @ 4:30 0r 5 with Bella and Andrea is up for the day 6. So I am a tired momma. If I could just get myself to go to bed before 1 am.. But Istay up, as Scott is usually up working, as he works all day and comes home and gets some stuff done and works until 1 am or so almost every night. He is WAY stressed out. He had his Blood pressure done and it was HIGH! So we have to get an physical for him.
Andrea is a funny gal.. She found my make up and had it all over her legs, eyes, face and obviously I am alot lighter skinned than her, so she had white splotches all over. It was SO darn Funny! I was not to happy as I kept looking around and found she dumped some of the foundation onto the carpet. I am hoping once we get Bella totally potty trained, we will get new carpet. We have alot of HOPES! We need a new computer soon, as we are out of memory, so no photos...:( Unless I figure out a way)!!! We are scared it is going to crash, so we are backing everything up.
Scott and I got most of the room(soon to be office) sheet rocked. LOTS of Work! Sheet rocking is not for girls! It is hard work and Scott and I had lots of good fights. I can not hold a 8 ft sheet rock above my head.. It went crashing to the floor... He got an lift from work and that worked out good.
I had a taste test Thursday, and I got paid $55 to try 1 sample of potato's.. LOVE IT!
Friday we went to Como Town with Stephanie and Peyton and Sophia. It was A Zoo there!! LOL!!
Alexa had a sleep over Friday night with Peyton and those girls were up until 3 am! They had a great time together.
Last night, Stephanie and Lisa took me out for my Birthday- We went to the Blue Fox. They had a good band- WE had lots of fun chatting, dancing, smoking and drinking. Good Times... I got home around 1 am and Bella and Andrea were up this morning @ 5:15so I am a bit tired today. Alexa is at her friend Hallie's today and later, we are biking to Dairy Queen(if it cools off).
This week is busy..as usual. I have to bring my mini van and Scott's truck in. My car's warranty is almost up and I need some work and Scott's is just tire rotation, as our Sam's membership is expiring.
I have another taste test this week to taste Chocolate chip cookies. YUM! and Love the Extra $$$$
Andrea has an eye appt on Tuesday and this is Alexa' last week of hockey camp. The summer is FLYING Bye...6 weeks until school starts.. Wednesday night, we are going to the Torchlight parade downtown, so I hope the weather is good, as last year it was yucky. The following weekend, we are going camping with Scott's brother and his crew and his girls friends crew. My cousin Rhonda from Australia is coming the first weekend in August and they are having a HUGE bash out at my aunts house on Prior Lake the 2nd weekend in August, so that is always a great time! Swimming, drinking and the kids have lots of fun, as Alexa loves the play with all those kids(there are 6 girls her age or a few years older.) Well... Enough of me rambling... I have to get cleaning.
OH I can not for get to add my CONGRATS to my friend Tana! She is out of PGN and is picking Ana up and bring her home on Wednesday! She and I went though ALOT together. She lost a little one also, like we did Silvia. She is bringing Ana home FINALLY. She waited a LONG time and I am SO darn happy for her! WE are so going to meet her someday! We named the puppy Bella...
This week was a LONG one....with a puppy and an almost 2 year old.
Bella and Andrea are on total different schedules.
If the puppy was sleeping, Andrea would bang on her kennel, and if Andrea was sleeping, Bella would be yelping or barking with Brandi. It has been FUN, I must say!
This last week, We went to Como Town for the day before the Stroup Family headed back to MI. Those girls rode and rode rides all day..
Alexa finished up her swimming and passed, so now we start in 2 weeks. She has 2 more weeks of Hockey Camp.
On Friday, us gals went with Lisa and Steph and their kids to Elm Creek Pond (chlorinated swimming pond). The kids had a blast! It was SO Hot and muggy. WE bought ice cream and by the time we got back to sit down with it, it was pretty much melted. Andrea was a Total Mess! She loved the sand and the beach and helped the kids make sand castles.
Andrea so loves Hannah Montana. We can not get into the car with out her screaming HANNAH on the TV or Alexa's Ipod or the Wii game. Andrea dances and jams out and will sit and watch a full 1/2 episode and barely blinks!
Scott was gone this weekend at a Hunt test in Western Minnesota. Bella stayed here, and Brandi went. Bella kept looking for Brandi when she was gone. I am So sure Brandi did not mind getting away from Claws and teeth biting her. Bella's Mom was a Yellow lab and I think Bella thinks she can try to nurse off Brandi. Brandi so does not go for that! Puppy obedience training in 2 weeks.... She is doing GREAT at the potty training.

The Law was After Us this weekend

Thursday we got all packed up and went Camping with the Stoup Family from Michigan. We camped at the KOA in Maple Grove, which is about 20 minutes from our house. Yes, I know it is close, but it was a good thing! We had lots of FUN! We got all settled in and hung out by the campfire and stayed up late. Friday we get up early, as Andrea and Hope(she will be 3) wake up @ 6am. Alexa and Olivia go swimming at the pool, and we all get ready and drive to Delano. My aunt was the Grand Marshall and alot of my relatives on my mom's side were there. We sat and watched the parade and it was HOT! The girls got LOTS of candy. TOO much! We hang out and there for a while and drive and have lunch and go back to the campground and we all go swimming. The water was a bit cold, but WE all had fun... We drove to Elk River for fireworks. This is where the law comes in... I was going over Highway 101 and all the sudden a Cop is behind me...I pull over and he asks "Do you know why I pulled you over"? I said No and he asked if I had an alcohol today, (which I did not- I was thinking Thank GOD at that moment),I said No, and he said I swerved a few times. I said, I am looking for the firework displays, and he took my license and came back to the truck and told me, I needed to step to the rear of the truck. My heart rate was 100000 bpm. I was thinking WHAT is going ON?!! I know everything was fine for the adoption with 5 FBI checks.
Alexa started to cry and I went with the officer and he did the Follow the eye with his finger test and at that time, I started believing I was drunk. My heart was coming out of my chest. He said We are out looking for drunk drivers and with me swerving, he said he had to find out. He said Drive Safe. So we left and I was super shook up at that point. We went and watched fireworks and they were not all that great. We come back to camp and I had to have a few beers. MAN....I am so happy that I decided to drive, as Scott was going to, but I said I would drive, as he had a few drinks. I am SO happy for that!
Saturday, we get up and go to my brothers for my nieces Graduation party. We eat, hang out with relatives and we take off to Bunker Beach( outdoor water park). We were there for about 1/2 an hour and we hear Scott or Keri Krumm, please come to the First Aid booth. I was like WTF? So I see an Officer standing there... HE said You have a few police cars around your truck, as you have a dog inside and that is illegal. So I ran and found Scott, we had to find the Stroups, to take our girls, so we could go out and see what is going on. WE got out there and the officer said "your dog is in a HOT vehicle". WE said "she is in the shade", and he said the dog has no water(and she did) Brandi was just FINE, She was not even panting. He said we are cruel to animals. US??????? Scott??? Cruel? He gave us a ticket and said we can take it to court, which we are so going to fight. We had to windows down, she was in the shade and the indoor temp was 70 something, and the Officer never checked anything. HE was a real A$$! I had to take Brandi to my mom's so we could continue to hang out at the park. BTW, we did not get there until 4 pm.. So now we have to go to court. Scott is FUMING, as it is a law that you can not have a pet in your car alone. Scott takes Brandi ALOT to hunt tests and stuff ALONE and there are 1000 other dogs that get left alone. WE would never leave Brandi in a unsafe place.
Sunday... We pack up and come home, Unpack again and take off to Waseca, WI to get our new Puppy! 3 hour drive to meet her finally! We got home around 9:30 last night and got the puppy and Brandi aquaited. brandi was like" You have to be kidding ME?!!
She is SO darn CUTE and she 7 weeks old today. She slept good last night- Went to bed @ 11 and up @ 6am. She did not wake up all night and she went potty outside right away!!! What a good GIRL! We have a name for her, but are testing it out first and I will post it when we name her. I will post photos later, of this weekend also. Sorry I have been writing BOOKS when I post lately!

Alexa just passed on Hard Level on Guitar Hero. She played Slow Ride on Hard and did it with 80%!!! So is SO excited!!! I am excited for her!
Thursday morning they started the roof @ 6 am. So we all got up and got ready. I Took the girls out to breakfast and then took Alexa to her swimming. We had to go get Scott's truck and return the loaner car ( I did not want to give it back, as it has AWESOME gas mileage and did not want to pay for the truck) We come back here for a bit, to get Alexa ready for Hockey Camp.
At 2:30 they were done with our roof! WOW!!! I mean done, all cleaned up and out of here. They did a great job and they were all so nice. They saw me taking Andrea out to the car in the street and they say Latino baby?! I said Guatemala and they all said OHH and Lucky girl to be here and not there.
Friday we got up and went to the Zoo. We met Sue and her crew there @ 9am. All the kids had a BLAST! We went to go see the Grizzly Bear exhibit and Andrea kept Roaring. It was cute! She likes her animals, especially dogs, bears and kitties.
We went on the monorail, and I think the other people in our train wanted to throw us from the train, as we had 8 kids all bouncing around and taking photos and laughing. We left and had lunch at Suze's place. She has a BEAUTIFUL huge house in Apple Valley. The girls played and ran around. I lost Andrea a few times.
Scott came there at supper and we ate and hung out. Craig & Scott took all the kids on a paddle boat on their pond. Andrea sat there with a life jacket still as can be and waving bye bye.
WE got a call Saturday saying we can pick up our puppy on the 6th! YIKES... We are not ready yet! Saturday, Alexa was in the Blaine Parade, skating for the SLP hockey Association. We came home and gave Andrea a nap, as we did not get home from Suze's house until Midnight the night before. Alexa went right over to the Miller's to go swimming and we got to the Miller's and hung out with the Gerards and they BBQ'd a yummy meal. We had to leave to find a tent, as we are going camping. We stopped @ Sam's club and found Rockband, so Scott and Alexa had to have it!
Our friends from the U.P of Michigan are coming down and we are camping and going to the MOA and a water park. We are camping this Thurs-Sunday. We were going to go to Michigan for a few days after teh 4th, but with the puppy and no one made any plans and Scott's brother was not going to go and his sister was not sure, as they are moving sometime?! So.. We found other things to do. Well, other things found us.. LOL
So.. You still with me? Yesterday we went and got Sheetrock to make finish the room for the puppy and Scott had to move a few walls and electrical wires yesterday. So he was not too happy, undoing all the electrical work he already did.
Tonight, Alexa is at playnet and Scott and I are going to hang some Sheetrock, to get that room done, before Little miss Puppy comes.
We have a SUPER busy week ahead.... Alexa has swimming every day this week, no hockey... and Playnet, My 2 aunts are coming in from MA and CA, and we are going to the parade in Delano on the 4th.
Saturday is my niece Chelsea's High School Grad party at my brothers place in Zimmerman. We will be camping NOT too far from here...(I know Becky and Mindy are Laughing).... LOL So that is good, as we will be driving all over town!
Sunday we are driving to Waseca, WI to get our New Puppy. We have to get a name for this little Pup!
So I will post some photo later of the Zoo and parade.

I hate Car Repairs!

I hate CARS and Car repairs. I took Scott's Suburban in last Thursday, as he had to get new brakes and they said he needed new Tie rods. SO we spent a Small fortune there. Well, Scott's truck started making a Horrible noise that was grinding, so I took it in today and it needs a New transfer case. Thank YOU Cathie for letting me borrow your MiniVan.... and picking me up.. What would we do with out YOU and your Family?! I am going to miss you when you are gone for a week...
If any one has had to purchase a transfer case, with parts, labor and fluids, you know it is Not Cheap! WE just made Scott's last Suburban payment a few months ago and BOOM... Problems!
I am MAD, as we had plans for that Money..:( Now, I do not think the things we were going to get are going to happen. We are still waiting to get our stimulus check... Which will pay off my minivan loan(yippee)
I have to go and pick up a loan vehicle @ 5 tonight, as they will have Scott's truck for 2 days or so. I hope I get the new Chevy Silverado truck I got last week. It was SO Sweet!
We are getting our new roof tomorrow, so I need to be gone, as the pounding will drive me Crazy! Alexa has her swimming and hockey and Andrea will just have to take a nap in my car.
Friday we are going to the Zoo, with my BFF Sue and her crew. I can not wait to see her kids.. I miss seeing them! Alexa is Super excited to be with her girls and make a day out of it.
I can not wait to see Andrea's face when she sees the Bear and all the animals. I will Post photos. I have been terrible with taking photos lately.
Alexa is busy with swimming and hockey and Play Net. She is done with her swimming tomorrow and starts her new class on Monday the 30th.
Andrea is a HOOT.. Let me tell ya- We went through the Caribou drive thru and she was screaming Coffee.. Coffee... Coffee.. She must know I love My coffee. She is running all over the place and has gotten in a little trouble by Scott and I. She thinks it is funny to tease to go in the road.. She goes Full Speed all day long.
That is it for me... This weekend, Alexa is in a parade on Saturday in Blaine and Blaine is having their Blaine Blazing 4th. After the parade, we are going to the Miller's for a pool party. Sunday, I MIGHT, just might go scrapbooking all day. One can only HOPE..

Saturday night, Scott and I went out to Salut Americana on 50th and France. It was a GREAT, Yummy restaurant and the Miller's had our girls for a few hours. Alexa had a fun time swimming! Got home right before the storm came through.. Alexa rode her bike and Scott roller bladed from their house.
Yesterday was Father's Day and we hung out and my aunt from Montreal is here and played with the girls and we had supper. We also starting setting up a bit for the garage sale. BOY do I have alot of stuff! If you are in the area this Thur-Sat. stop Bye!
Today, Alexa starts swimming lessons and her Hockey camp. She is excited to get started on summer activities, as the I am bored syndrome was starting to start! It is going to be a struggle with Andrea, as I KNOW she is going to want to jump into the pool.
Should be getting new puppy photos this week... Scott is leaving Friday to be a judge at a hunt test up in Brainerd. He is doing that a few times this summer. So Alexa, Andrea and I will do some shopping and hanging out. I ahve not even looked to see what is going on this weekend?
Andrea did good for a day or 2 potty training, but would cry when I put her on the potty, so I decided to stop for a bit and start again in a few weeks. I do put her on the potty a few times a day and she goes.
We had Metlife come out and do an inspection on the roof and we are getting a roof, fascia and they are going to have some one come out and pressure wash the deck and stain it... I just did that WHOLE task last spring.. so now I am trying pick out the color. I like darker.
The 28th, Alexa is going to be in the Blaine Parade for the SLPYHA(Hockey) for Blaine's Blazin 4th.
I better get off the computer and get going!

My little Girl is growing UP

Well, Little miss Andrea sat on the potty before her bath on Saturday and she went and was so proud of herself. She has been doing great since! Of course a few accidents, but she comes up to me and grabs her self and says potty and grabs my hand to take her to the potty.
She even pooped in the potty this morning, she kept saying Potty to me. I tried to put a diaper on and she said NO and ran away.
Alexa's last day of school is Wednesday. Scott is out of town Wed-Fri As he is @ Cragun's golfing. Alexa has a sleepover birthday party Friday night, so Scott and I will hang out here and have date night- HAHA- I am supposed to be having my garage sale starting Thursday, but it is going to storm all week long here in MN! So we wil ltry again in a week or 2.
Thursday is Spring Lake Park's Parade, and Alexa and alot of kids from SLPYHA are going to be in the parade rollerblading, throwing out candy, so Andrea and I will be there, if you want to meet me there and watch the parade. :) We have a candy bin here at home that is empty and needs to be restocked.
No other updates really. I take care of 3 fun, really great kids in the mornings and 1 after school and their last day will be Wednesday as well. I am going to miss having them here, as will Alexa and Andrea. This year FLEW!!! My Alexa will be a 3rd grader. My 3rd grader who saved all her money and just bought herself an Ipod last week.
I also found out today my friend Tracy who is adopting from Guatemala, got her Embassy date today. Her appt is Monday the 9th WOOOHOOO! I am SO happy for you Tracy and Family. Ezra is so darn cute and will be so excited to come home, so next week, We will be at the airport. Tracy waited and waited for our airplane to come in... Quick Update on US

Andrea is 20 months old !!!
Alexa is still not well. Alexa went to school Monday and she went to the nurses 3 x as she said her head felt like it was on fire and she was so tired! She came home at normal time and her face was really RED, so I called the Dr and he said she is on a HUGE dose of Steroid(Prednisone)and to stop it.
Well, Monday night comes along ( maybe 10pm , She woke up puking and having diarrhea until 4 am this morning, so today she did not go to school. She missed her Field trip- :( How much can this girl take, she has been through so much this year with sickness and missing out on stuff)
Alexa is NOT my sleeper, and she slept almost ALL day today and went to bed @ 8:30 and is still out like a light.
So, tonight I ran to Target and got her an Wii game. Mario Pro Cart, so when she is bored silly tomorrow, as I do not think she is going to school, she has something fun to do.
Andrea is all better and has been great. She sure is a stinker! I too got the stomach flu on Sunday. It is NO FUN!
I hope Alexa gets better, as we have a FUN weekend planned!
Friday at Alexa's school, they have inflatable jumpy castles and stuff at school. Saturday, we are getting up and taking the firls fishing. Alexa loves to fish and Andrea loves to say FISHHY. Then on Saturday night, Scott's friend Brandon's 40th Birthday and we got a sitter and Alexa's friend Sami is coming over, and we will be out with NO kids! Sunday is an Memorial Day party at the Miller's. They will have their pool up and Alexa and all the kids can swim and we will hang out and have a Bonfire.
Monday we will be going to Canterbury Park Horse Track). It is my cousin's hubby's Birthday and they throw a big party there, and we have a huge bar room with food & refreshments. They are part owners of Canterbury and they run 3 or 4 horses and we go to the winner circle to get our photos taken, when their horse wins. Alexa loves to go there. We will take Andrea on Pony rides and get their faces painted and play and eat... Action packed weekend Hun?! Just need to get that little girl of mine better! I feel So bad for her!

A Long ill Week......

Well, Since we have been home from Michigan on Sunday night, Alexa has had some Asthma problems. I got a call from the school nurse Monday as Alexa's asthma has turned a bit worse. So I picked her up and I took her to the Dr and they gave her an antibiotic and an Oral Steroid to open her lungs up. So she took it as she was supposed to and we kept nebbing and did her inhalers every 4 or so hours, as she was so tight and wheezy. Her Pulse Ox(Oxygen n the blood) was 95% which is pretty good... Well, the week kept on going and we waited for the steroid to KICK IN... It really never did. She was getting nebbed at home and at school and the nurse called me today and said "I do not think she is any better, in fact, I think she is worse" So I picked her up after she was done testing @ 11:20 and I took her back to the DR. It was a long 3 hours today waiting in the Dr. office. That was just the wait to get in! They nebbed her 3 times and did her peak flow( see how much air is coming out of the lungs) to help the tightness, but it did not get better after the 3 nebs, so we were told to go to the Hospital. So we stopped at home and I drove Alexa to Children's Minneapolis and she was seen. The nebbed her and did another Chest X ray and monitored her and checked peak flows. NOT very good at first. In the mean time, Scott and I were trying to entertain Andrea. She sure Entertained us by throwing up all over the place... She got it all over Scott's shirt and the floor and her clothes. Alexa was almost ready to GAG, as the smell was awful. Scott was too.
Alexa was crying and Andrea was crying, but it was hard to hold her ,as she was throwing up all over the place. I just had to laugh.... I really wanted to cry. But I had to be the strong mom.
We got a nurse in the room and she got some one to clean it up. Alexa in the mean time, has the Pulmonary Dr there, doing her Neb's and helping her, as I am trying to clean puke off Andrea and the floor. Scott had to run to his truck to see if he had any clothes, as he got doused in puke. We had lots of Dr's check Alexa out and her tightness was getting better, as they could hear a wheeze. Which I guess is Good!
We had to wait to do the peak flows and after we cleaned Andrea all up, she TOOTED and it was a JUICY toot, if you know what I mean?! So I took her to the bathroom to change her diaper. She has terrible diarrhea. SO.. Every 5-10 minutes she was having poop fits, so I had 4 diapers with me and there was 1 in the bathroom. Thanks goodness it was kid friendly hospital. WE got the OK to go home......... YIPPEEE. It is now 7:20 pm... Scott took Alexa home and stopped and got us MATT's to go. It is a great hamburger spot in South Minneapolis. Home of the Juicy Lucy Burger. I took Andrea home and got her some Pedialyte and she acted like nothing was going on.Maybe a bit tired?!
Scott and Alexa got home and Andrea saw the french fries and she was HOUNDING for them, so I gave her one and she ate 3 and said Night Night, so she went to bed. Scott and Alexa are playing Scott's Wii game Star Wars. Alexa has so much Albuterol in her, she is shaky and WIRED! That is our exciting day. WE were in a 8x8 room most of the day from basically 11am-8pm. Andrea and Alexa did SO good! Thank goodness the hospital had Cable and had the Disney Channel.
I hope to get some sleep tonight, as I have to check on Alexa every 2 hours and if Andrea is up.. Could be a LONG night.

WE made it home from Michigan

We left for the U.P of Michigan Friday around 4:30- We got a REALLY late start...Alexa and Andrea did pretty good in the CAR.. Thank goodness for the DVD player in the Van and music! This is Andrea's first time going to Michigan. It is about an 6 hour drive or a bit longer. We got in around 12.30 am. We stopped a few times..
We got up Saturday morning and went and swam in the pool. We really have to watch that little Andrea, as she will walk right into the pool. Deep end or shallow. WE had a life jacket on her and she would float in the kiddie pool and then we took her into the bigger pool and she would float on her back all by herself.
WE then went to go see Scott's Mom and Great Grandma. Other relatives popped over, so it was fun to see them and for them to finally meet Andrea. Andrea was HAMMING it up and was SO SILLY!!! We hung out there and chatted and we went to go have lunch at a new place in Houghton, called the Mineshaft. It is like a Dave and Busters ( an upscale Chuck E Cheese). Alexa had fun playing games of Course! WE then went to visit more relatives, as they have not seen Andrea yet. Alexa was so sick this winter, so when ever we were going to go, Alexa had strep. SO WE Finally MADE IT!
WE went to a Talent Country show and then we went to the Ambassador to eat. That is the BEST place to eat in Houghton, MI. Scott's other Cousin Stacey watched Andrea, which she cried for about 1/2 hour, but then took a nap and she was good. The poor girl was SO tired.... She got to bed @ 1:30 am and got up @ 7, so REALLY off schedule!
Sunday.. WE got up and ate breakfast and went swimming- Scott took the girls and I showered and took Brandi for a walk and started to pack the car. We went to say our goodbye's to Scott's Mom and relatives also. We said goodbye and we left. We stopped at a store to get Alexa a few pieces of candy, where we stay @ in the summer, as we might not make it up there this summer. Gas was $3.99 a gallon UGH... We then stopped for again, as Andrea pooped her pants.. Scott was sweet and stopped @ the Bad River Casino in Wisconsin, and I went to go to the casino and he took the girls and the dog for a walk and stroll the store. I spent $20 and came back with $20 bucks, so I played for 45 minutes for free.. NOT BAD! Alexa wanted Taco Bell REALLY bad, so we kept driving.... Andrea was sleeping. We made it to Superior, NO Taco Bell YET. WE thought Duluth MUST have one, so we took an exit and NO Frickin Taco BELL.. So we go back on the freeway and there was a HUGE accident. It had just happened, as people were just running up to the car and there was a guy laying in the ditch and people were trying to get people out... I saw 2 car seats on the flipped Ford Expedition. I got chills and I prayed for everyone there. WE drove 2 miles down the road and ambulances came and a fire truck and a bit later, we saw Lifelink, which is the helicopter. I pray for them SO!
WE got home last night @ 8.30! Got Andrea to bed, and Alexa had a bad tummy ache,so I gave her some fiber bars and she went to bed. I then unpacked and washer clothes and went to bed. That was OUR fun weekend!
This week brings... Our doggie is 9 tomorrow! We always get her a doggie cake!
Andrea has her last E.C.F.E day at school, and Alexa has MAP math tests and reading tests at school and Track and field Day. This weekend is my Mom's Church Springfest, where they have rides,food and FUN! I hope for good weather, as it is always so much FUN!
I will post photos soon of this weekend, but our computer, has No more memory on it.
We are going to finish paying off all our debt hopefully by fall! So then we will just have our house payment each month. No credit cards bills(as we do not have credit cards anymore or any credit card debt), No car loans(my van is almost paid for), No Home Equity Loans... Just a house payment. I can't wait! We have sacrificed ALOT, but it will be SO worth it! We did not go out to eat alot, or buy alot of things for the kids or us. WE did spend alot on the adoption, but How can you put a price on Andrea?! WE also bought a Timeshare back a few years ago in Vegas, and you can use it anywhere, andwe will be able to start using it again. We are thinking of taking Andrea to Sesame Place next summer. Alexa loved it and would love to go back, just for the FUN waterslides she can enjoy now.
Sorry- I am rambling on and ON..... I am just realyl excited about it, as I know Scott has worked really hard to get where we are and we did work as a great team to get where were are goign to hopefully be this fall.

I had to pick Alexa up at school today, as her asthma was bugging her, so I took her to Express Healthcare. She got nebbed twice and they did a chest X Ray and they gave her an steriod to open her lungs up. She had a cough and was a little wheezy today but, I did not think she was that bad. Poor Girl...she was using her Peak flow meter and was in the RED zone ,which means Get help NOW! we have to keep an eye on her and if the levels do not go up, we have to take her to the ER.

What a Nice Weekend

This weekend has FLOWN by...
Friday, it was rainy, cold and stormy out, so Friday after Alexa got home from school,Us gals went to the mall, as I needed to get the girls some spring clothes. We went at Macaroni Grill( LOVE that place) and we came home and Andrea went to bed, so Alexa and I stayed up and watched the movie Enchanted. Cute SHOW!
Saturday, Alexa went to play at a friends house for the most of the morning and then we went shopping again and went out for supper @ Boston's. YUM YUM! We then went to Anoka High School for the High School Musical Play! IT was AWESOME! It even kept Andrea's attention for 2 hours. She is SO portable and SO darn Happy!
The play was great! Didn't I already say that?! :) We did not get home until 10:30- My girls and ME were tired!
Sunday, It was a Beautiful day outside and Alexa and some friends played outside, had a lemonade stand and ran around and rode bikes and what ever kids do- I did hear Alexa and some kids yell to SLOW down, as people drive WAY to fast down our road. I so want to move to a more Rural place. I mean Ham Lake is almost Rural. LOL But I really like the school district we are in and Alexa has some really great friends!

Scott called and No luck so far getting any Turkey's. He is going to stay 1 more night and hunt in the morning by himself,as Eric has to go back to work. HE said he saw alot of Mommy Turkey's ,but can't shoot them.
I have an chiropractic appt on Tuesday and Can not wait to go, as I just started to go again and I feel so GOOD!!!
Alexa, Andrea and I biked to Scott's Sister's house today. THE ride home was torture...All against the WIND. But we made it... :) We maquested it and it was 4.75 miles one way, so we are tired. I treated her Jimmy John's!
When I got home, I did another load of laundry and I heard a thump thump, and I stopped the washer and I said "MY CELL PHONE"... SO my cell phone went through the wash- I SO hope it works after it dries out- ANY one have this problem?!! LOL Scott will KILL ME! ( not really) but good thing Mother's Day is coming.... But I want a Cricut machine. WE will see... I 'll probably get an kick in the tush. LOL

Had a FUN Scrapbook Weekend!

I had a FUN productive weekend! I got 31 pages done, so I am starting Alexa's 4th year book now! I am starting catching up!
When we left Friday @ 9 am, and it was raining here in the Cities. When we got past Alexandria, it started to sleet, and then Sue got pulled over for speeding, and Beth and I were laughing so hard. Here we are a Ford Expedition FULL of Scrapbook supplies and the State Trooper comes and looks in the car and said, Do you know WHY I pulled You over? Sue said, I think I may have been speeding and he asked where we were going and Sue said to a Scrapbook weekend. I think he let us go, as he felt sorry for us, or his wife scrap booked and knowing that if his wife would have gotten a speeding ticket, he thought maybe if he gave Sue a ticket, Her Hubby might never let her go again. He was thinking PATHETIC!
But right behind Sue and my seat, was a HUGE cooler full of Booze. We laughed all the way(50 miles) to the Retreat. http://leafriverretreat.com I SO LOVE to laugh like that-
I also SO Love the Cricut machine. I have used one before at my friends house, but I sure used the heck out of it this past weekend. So I may have to purchase one of them. I also want a Tassimo Coffee machine. I showed Scott they were on sale this week @ Target!
The Retreat place was nice, but a bit small. I Would recommend it, but you can not talk to the people behind you,( which would have been nice to chat with the other side of the room) I sat on the side where if you had to use the Cricut machine, you were right behind me and I was right next to the bathroom.
Well, back to the weather, it started to snow and SNOW and SNOW when we were there. They said about 2 feet of snow- The Snow drifts came up to my Waist!!!
The weather radio was beeping and saiying "Ottertail County was under a blizzard warning and NO travel and travel was not recommended." We were still waiting for Kimber to come,as she had to come later Friday evening, but she made it! Well, Beth and Julie had lunch duty Saturday and had to go to town for food. Delivery was not happening on Saturday! So..Sue drove and just put it in 4x4 and away they went to Ottertail to get Lunch!!
We had alot of fun talks, about LOTS of things and it was fun to meet Sue, Shirley,Julie and Tena and her Mother in Law and Eve and Kimber. The food was great and can not wait til fall to do it all over again! Milissa was fun to be with, and she is a Busy Mom with 4 kids and a dairy farmer!
When I got home last night, Scott,Alexa and Andrea and Brandi came out to greet me and Andrea and Alexa hugged me and Andrea said MOMMMMM EEEEE.. It was so cute. Scott had a fun time with the girls and Alexa was a GREAT big sister. Love to go away and come home. I need to keep doing that! I am taking Alexa scrapbooking on Saturday all day and Andrea is going with my friends.
Scott is leaving Wednesday to go Turkey hunting for the weekend with his brother. They are good buds and love to hunt together. They are so alike.
I do not have photos, as my camera's batteries were dead. GRRRR Lithium batteries do not last any longer than NORMAL batteries. I am getting rechargables!

Won't be getting Our Puppy :(

The guy who has the puppies, called and said he took them to the Dr. Yesterday and 2 of the 9 puppies have folds on their eyes (eyes are growing too fast and it is because of a bad recessive Gene where they can not see or won't see.) So, Scott decided that it is not worth getting the dog that may need to have alot of surgeries and pay alot of money for Vet bills. Taking them for annual shots is Enough!
Some of the puppies do not have it, but can get it as they get older, and knowing this litter had this bad rescessive gene, it could happen.
WE are sad,as we were really excited about getting this puppy.
Scott does have alot of connections, as he is active in a Hunting Retriever club that he goes all over the Midwest for, so he is going to call around and find us a new puppy. :) So we will be getting one, Just not Yet.

Busy Weekend Coming UP!

Only 2 more days, and I am GONE ALL weekend to go Scrapbooking! I am Beyond Thrilled to get away with friends and get some thing accomplished and have a FEW cocktails!
I have to pack yet and get some little things done, but other than that, I am ready!
Sue is picking me up 8 am Friday morning and OFF we go to Ottertail Country, Where ever that is! West Somewhere at a Scrapbook Retreat House.
Scott will be Mr. Mom for me and have the girls ALL weekend, until he leaves Sunday sometime to drive to St. Louis, Missouri to pick up our new puppy! The guy who was going to bring them up from Louisiana, is not coming until June, and Scott wants to start training NOW, when it is YOUNG. She will be exactly 8 weeks when we get her. I can't wait to see her. I love Puppies. SO my life is going to change again....Getting up in the middle of the night again. JUST when Andrea started to sleep better.! I guess I will sleep when I am old.
So Monday afternoon, When Alexa gets home from School, we will have a New Addition to the Krumm household. WE still Need to name this puppy. Hmmm... Maybe Scott has ideas. I will post photos and a name when we know. Have a Great Weekend and I will post photos of my weekend too.
I am trying to get ready for my garage sale too- UGH. Not sure of the EXACT date, but thinking May 16th or so. Would like it after School gets out, but too HOT, but Alexa is such a great helper. I just can't wait for it ALL to be gone, so we can have a basement and start making Alexa's bedroom down there.( she so wants her room downstairs)!

Quick Update

Alexa is doing pretty good- Her ears are Really bugging her. She has a low fever of 99.5, even with the Tylenol #3. I thought she may be ready for school today, but I don't think she will even make it this week, as she is still on Tylenol#3 every 4 hours or so.
Yesterday, Andrea decided to Jump out of crib at nap time. She did not get hurt Thank goodness! Alexa and I went running in there, after we heard a HUGE Boom! I tried to put her down a little later and she screamed...She has a cold and felt a little warm, so I took her to the Minute Clinic. She has an Ear infection. So she too is on Amoxicillin. Alexa So would like her medicine, as Alexa's is not a good flavor.
I did get out last night and played Bar Bingo! I had FUN and I won $21.00, so it was worth my time to go the profits go to the SLPYHA! ( am I sounding like an Infomercial) LOL!!! Thanks for all the LAUGHS Becky! You CRACK ME UP!!!!!!! I so needed that!
This weekend is Scott's 37th Birthday- I think he is going to his brothers Friday night and get up early and Scout for Turkey's, as he is going Turkey hunting in 2 weeks and then come home for supper, so we can go out, and us girls are going to make him a cake.
I go Scrap booking NEXT week! I better start getting ready for that! :) I am SO excited! I am going to get lots of pages done! ( I Hope)!!
We Finally got Andrea's Social Security Card in the mail yesterday, after we just filed an extention, but have our taxes ready to mail, and we got the Adoption Credit. :)

Alexa's Tonsils are OUT!

Yesterday, Alexa had her tonsils out. She Did GREAT!! WE got there @ 6:30, checked in and went up to Surgery. WE sat with her and they went over How the procedure was going to go, the Dr came and talked with us and the Anaesthesiologist came and hung out with us. They gave Alexa some Magic Purple medicine (Atropine) and she drank that down (she said "THAT did not taste to good")! She was getting sleepy and they wheeled her back and we gave our kisses and said our good byes and she was off to get the Tonsils and Adenoids out. It took about 30 minutes or so, so not too long. The Dr said she did great and all looked good. WE were there in the recovery room, watching videos and she kept asking When Can I go HOME?!
We got home around 2 ish?! She came home and watched movies, read her magazines that Becky brought over from Alexa's friend Sami. THANK YOU! :) You are always So Thoughtful and So like FAMILY to US... Alexa got flowers from my Mom this morning. That was SO sweet MOM. Thanks! Alexa says I LOVE you Grandma and how did Grandma find time during tax season to order me flowers?! LOL -- My mom is a CPA and April 15th is closing in here....
The Tylenol # 3 she was given to take now that we are at home. It makes her AWAKE, so I have to take everything away and turn off the lights and tell her to rest. At every 4 hours, she is defiantly needing her meds. She is Very sore. When she woke up from surgery, she cried and cried and the nurse(Pat who was SO Awesome) gave her some Morphine and she then relaxed and rested comfortably.
Thanks for all the calls and emails and friends that stopped by. :) She likes Visitors come to see her.
We went to Dave and Busters the night before for supper and FUN and She used most of her POINTS to get her sister an Elmo. How Sweet is THAT?! Here the Night before Surgery, she gets something for her sister.?! So Proud of her!! :) LOVE YOU ALEXA!

The Results are.....

I had my Ultrasound this morning and the Results are I have 2 enlarged Lymph nodes in my breast. It came back Normal.
On the Mammo, the Lymph nodes come through DARK, like a mass.
The 2ND mammo, showed the 2 spots and wanted more testing and that is why they did the MRI and the MRI, they wanted to see blood flow to the spots,( that is why I had the IV with the contrast dye in it) and then today I had the Ultrasound and the Ultrasound showed the 2 enlarged lymph nodes. On the Mammo, it looks like a HUGE mass. I am SO glad they did not tell me any of this when I was waiting, Or I would have went off the deep end!
I have to go back in 3-6 months or so, to have another Ultrasound and check the size of the Lymph nodes and they said they would recommend me getting an lumpectomy after next appointment, if they are still enlarged, as they are Big.
I was a NERVOUS wreck on the drive there today. I almost got sick, as I was Nauseated. I was driving and thinking of the WHAT ifs ....and I PRAYED to the Big Chief up there, telling him that I have not come this FAR in my life to end up with Breast Cancer right now.. I have 1000 things to do with my kids and for me Cancer right now, would slow me down and I am not ready for that in life for a LONG time.
I could go on and on about My drive and my thoughts, but I am sure you would all fall asleep! :)
I want to THANK YOU all for your emails and Phone Calls,you have sent me with your thoughts/concerns and prayers. I opened my email and had 40 some messages from friends that SO truly CARE! You SO do Not know what that means to me. THANK YOU! I hope I never have to go through another Cancer scare in my lifetime. It is a scary world and I can not imagine how my Dad felt when he was getting diagnosed and each test came back with more and more bad news. I will let you all know when I go back in July for another test.
Now I can relax and Prepare for Alexa's Surgery in 2 days! She woke up this morning and said YES, 2 more days.... She decided to Dave and Buster's for supper tomorrow night.

I have to do MORE tests :(

I got my report in the mail today. I need to go have an Ultrasound done of my breast now. ( I am dying here of WAITING for results- I have been worrying about this since March 5th, when I had my FIRST mammogram and a Second Digital Mammo and then an MRI and NOW and Ultrasound) I looked up on the Jane Brattain site and it says they do Ultrasounds for spots they see on mammos and such, to see if the spot is a liquid mass or solid mass.
I am SO SO Nervous. I am pretty much shaking... My appt is @ 10:30 tomorrow and I will get the results of all the tests right after they do my Ultrasound. SO PLEASE keep me in your prayers!
Alexa had her Pre Op Appt this morning for her Surgery Thursday. She is ALL Set for Thursday to get her Tonsils out. She was BRAVE and did the blood work. They wanted to do a finger poke and she requested to do it in the arm. The lab Guy Gary was AWESOME and he said he does not get many kids that request where the shots are and are brave and do not cry.
We are taking Alexa out for supper Wednesday wherever she wants to have a GOOD meal, as she will not be eating much in the next week or so after surgery.
I will update tomorrow when I get my results....

Went to the TWINS Game today

We All Went to the Twins Game today... It was a great game- and We had Great seats. Right behind Home Plate. Andrea had a Blast and Alexa Loves to go to Games and be right in the Action! (loves the cotton candy and hot dogs too)
TC Bear was our in our section, so Us Girls Had to go see T.C. Bear and of Course Andrea, was not to fond of T.C. Bear... I forgot to put my memory card in my camera, so I got some photos from my Cell Phone, so I need to figure on how to load that to my computer. They took a CUTE photo!
It is 65 degrees here TODAY!!!! (Isabel, I bet you are Cheering for us here in MN, as this is your Weather All the Time and YES, we need to get together Before our kids Graduate) It is SO NICE OUT!!! Alexa and the neighbor kids ran around and had a Lemonade stand, played a game of Baseball and went for a bike ride and are still playing outside.
Alexa had to use her Small bike, as her Big Bike was recalled and we are waiting for the New one to come on Monday.
I am Still waiting for Test results.. I was SO hoping I would hear Yesterday, as it was Friday and I have the WHOLE Weekend to Keep thinking of it.
So I am hoping No News is Good News... I hope to hear on Monday.

Had My Appointment

I had my MRI today- It went good. I Did not like being in the Tube too much, but I did Ok. I was face down and closed my eyes as they had the IV in my hand. My hand had to stick out of the tube for the IV and there was cold air the blew near my face, so I did not feel to closed in. I wait for RESULTS.. Takes 3-5 days.. So I will update when I find Out any news and praying it is All Good!
HERE are NEW photos of the Pups.... They are 3 weeks old. They have collars on and eyes are open now and they are getting into everything the breeder says. I do not know which one is ours yet, but I am guessing the one with the Pink Collar, as the rest were boys puppies. Have to think of a Name for her.... :)

WE are home from the Weekend

We went to Fargo this past weekend. We had a good time! It was kind of stressful when we got there, as the Holiday Inn in Fargo is so HUGE!!!!
WE were unloading and were in the lobby, waiting to go to our room and they had a Huge Republican party there, PEOPLE EVERYWHERE, and I could not get to the door in time and Brandi(our Dog) pooped right at the door- I just about DIED! That is SO not Brandi. I did not have a bag to clean it up and those DELEGATES people were RUDE and just stood there going tsk tsk tsk. I finally had enough and was getting crabby and some guy said something and I said HEY.. MAYBE this is what my dog thinks of the campaign and politics! (Go Keri, Go Keri) I could not believe I said that IT felt GOOD! I am going to start speaking my mind more...
Well anyways- we got to our room and got into our swim suits and Alexa and Peyton and Andrea and I all went swimming. WE had a great time. Alexa and Peyton were so good and had so much fun hanging out together. Alexa was brave and she would go down the water slide backwards. We hung out and swam until 9 or 10 pm and then went back to the room to wind down and try to get Andrea to sleep and she DID not like the Port A Crib, so she got so mad, she threw up, so I had to clean that up and then the girls played their DS games and made a fort in the corner and hung out there, when I finally got Andrea to sleep. SHE fought it, as she Was so OVERLY tired.
WE swam Saturday most of the day. We were all prunes. LOL. Andrea LOVES the water. She will sit and then lay on her back and float. She loves to float. WE went to Space Aliens for supper. The girls played games and more games and then ate. WE did not see the Huge Alien, so that was good!( Andrea would have freaked OUT) We Went back to the hotel and we wandered around the hotel and went swimming, again.
Sunday, We ate breakfast and went swimming and then packed up, Scott had a morning game and his team lost the game Sunday morning, so they are OUT of the tournament. we left @ Noonish. Bummer they lost... :(
WE got home and unpacked and Alexa went to play outside. It was 48 degrees!
I Gave the girls a Good Bath and got ready for bed. The girls were both sleeping @ 7:30 or so! I had LOTS to do!
Yesterday was a tough day,as it was my Dad's Birthday. :( I miss You DAD! Today is SNOWING and snowing MORE. When Alexa gets home. we have to run to the cemetery and give him Birthday Balloons on his grave. A day late, but Alexa likes to do that for her Grandpa. She misses him too. She misses playing with him and going to see him or him coming over. He would come over 1-2x a week. He Loved his Grand KIDS and showed it and came around and Never played Favorites.
Today is 10 years since we moved into Our house. WHERE does the time go?! When we moved here, it was a Blizzard, and it is like that out today also here in MN--- An early April Fools JOKE.
Tomorrow is my breast MRI appt. I am Super Nervous... I will update when I hear anything. 5 years ago tomorrow, is the day my Dad was diagnosed with his cancer, and I have my appt tomorrow. I PRAY it is JUST nothing. I keep thinking " what if" It is scary to think about.... I just keep praying for GOOD NEWS.....

Andrea is 18 months OLD

We went and ventured out in the yucky messy snow today, to Andrea's Doctor Appt for her 18 month Check. Can you believe she is already 18 month old??????? Her Dr. said she is perfect developmentally and weight and height wise. She said she is short She had to do a Mantoux test for Tuberculous and 3 shots and did blood work for Hemoglobin and Lead, they do that every 6 months or so on kids adopted Internationally.? She weighed 22.2 lbs and 27 inches tall. Scott met us at her Dr. appt this morning, as I don't like to be the bad mom holding my kids down, as I am with them all day long. She SCREAMED when they did the shots and screamed even more when they did the blood work, as they took the blood out of her finger and did 2 vials, poor baby! The Nurse was Fabulous! Gave her a whole bunch of Elmo stickers and gave big Sister Alexa some Hannah Montana stickers. She has known Alexa since she was 2 hours old. She worked @ the Hospital when she was born/
This past week, Scott and I took Alexa and Andrea to see the Easter Bunny. I know she was not going to like the bunny, as she does not like NEW people and New surroundings too much. She made eye contact with the bunny and BROKE down into a FULL blown Tantrum you could call it.
Alexa went and sat on the bunnies lap and I finally put Andrea on Alexa's lap and snapped a few photos and you can See Andrea did not like it. The Easter Bunny handed the girls a sucker and Andrea ALMOST smiled at the Easter bunny. She got down off his lap and walked a few steps and then turned around with a HUGE smile and waved Bye BYE! She is such a Stinker!!! This Easter, We are going to my Mom's and having the Easter Dinner there. YUM!! I can not WAIT! This coming week will be busy busy, as we are going to Fargo for the weekend, as Scott is in a Broomball Tournament and us girls will hang out at the Waterpark.
We went to this hotel when Alexa was 4 and she was a little small for some of the water park stuff, but this year, It will be a blast for her and her friend!
I need to start packing and cleaning out the car, for the girls to get all thier stuff organized and find a place for Miss Brandi in my Van too. She loves to ride with me, as she is not in a kennel and likes to rest her head on my arm, and LOVES the drive THRU's, when we stop to eat, as she gets treats and ALL those Yummy Smells... I hope you all have a great week. I will post photos of the Girls in their CUTE Easter dresses. They are TOO darn Adorable! Happy Easter to you all! XXOO

Some results...

I updated a few things on this post.
The Radiologist said there was alot of White Dense tissue behind my nipple. She said it is really a light White color and they want me to have more testing as it was different from my other side. They did not say it was Normal or Not normal, and did not see anything else beside the lighter stuff on the scan. Since my breasts are so dense,and they are concerned of how much lighter the tissue is. They want to make sure NOTHING is going on in there and with my history and sometimes a mammogram does not find anything.
I have my MRI date set for April 1st @ 9:30 in St Louis Park.
I am Super Nervous.
They give you an IV and use a Dye. The Nurse said they want to do the Dye with me. Not sure WHY, but said they will be using the IV with the Dye. She said Expect to be here for about 2-3 hours. Scott will have to meet me there and watch little Andrea, and at least he will be there when the Radiologist is there to give me any results.
I am having this test:
MRI of the BREAST
Uses a magnet linked to a computer to take pictures of tissue inside the breast. Can reveal tumors that are too small to be detected through a physical exam or mammogram.
I do have some POSITIVE NEWS to keep me going !!
We are ADOPTING again!!!!

Bill, who belongs to our Hunting retreiver club, will be bringing the puppies up from Louisiana in May. We are thinking around the first or 2nd week in May. SO it will be FUN to have a New puppy and a toddler around! :)
My Doctor called and my Ultrasound Was NORMAL!!! YIPPEE YAHOO!!!! That is Great NEWS! She said I have cysts on my ovaries, but that is normal.

We should definalty be meeting our deductable with this test and Alexa's tonsils out all in 1 month!
Andrea has her 18 month check Friday. I am SO anxious to see how much she has grown, she also has 4 shots, as we started the whole shot series over, like she was newborn. We did not know if they really even gave her shots in Guatemala, and we want her healthy! ( which she has been )

I got a letter today. It did not have any results of my mammo, but it says they want me to go have more tests on my right breast. They are sending me to Jane Brattain Breast Center. I have an appt Thursday morning @ 11. I had my Ultrasound Yesterday and I will find out the results of that early next week. So I am Very Nervous about the whole mammo thing, as that is the same breast that I have had problems with in the past and that is the one I was worried about .
It could be nothing... BUT It is Still scaring, worrying ME!! I am trying to NOT think about it, but it is hard not too. Luckily, they can get me in in 2 days. They said sometimes, they just need more testing and there is not a problem, and I am praying that it is ALL it is!
Alexa is feeling GOOD! :) She has 4 more days to go on her antibiotic and it is TERRIBLE. It is a chewable and the smell makes me want to PUKE!
Andrea is good- Her pink Eye is Gone and It was BEAUTIFUL out today and we all went for a walk. She laughed and laughed at Brandi. She is not used to being in the stroller, seeing her doggie run beside her. She almost FELL asleep, but a HUGE truck came down the road and she sat up and yelled RUCK! It was CUTE!

Here is my weeks SO Far...

I took Alexa to the Dr yesterday AGAIN, as she has Not been feeling well and all she wanted to do is sleep and is So tired all the time. ( if you know Alexa, that is NOT her)! Well,She has an Sinus Infection and ear infection. The Dr Said with her being so tired all the time lately is, her body is over worked! Alexa has had strep back to back 6 times, starting end of October and had it 2 times in January and the last time was Feb 2nd. With the sinus infection and ears infection and also dealing with her asthma, all in one little body is making her little body work harder and she is tired. We had her tested f or mono, but does not have mono. Her hemoglobin was low, so hopefully now she will make a full recovery, as she is on a strong antibiotic again and we will have a re check in 2 weeks. That brings up 3 weeks until surgery then. (April 10th)
SO let's Hope this works.
Andrea has Pink Eye...Had her treated yesterday too. She is a little climber and is starting to babble more and more- Love when she says Jackpot!
I had my mammo today. It went OK- Nervous though for the results, as the radiologist did not like my back ground history with my birth mom's cancer and the fertility drugs and me being on BCP pills for so long and only being 11 when I started my period. So NOW I wait. I pray it all comes back normal..... Talking about getting periods early.. I worry about Alexa, as she is 8 and already starting to blossom! :( She is to YOUNG. She started to blossom this last fall. My Dr said it could be the Milk with hormones, so I switched to the No hormone milk and maybe slow it down or something?! He thought Alexa would be about 9 or 10 or so when she gets her first period. That stresses me OUT. POOR Girl!

I have 2 sick kids

Alexa and Andrea are both not feeling well. Alexa stayed home today, as he had a 103.4 temp most of the night and this morning. Andrea's temp was 99-100.
Alexa did not sleep too much last night, as she was uncomfortable, I am sure.
WE did schedule her Surgery for tonsils. It is April 10th. It is @ Methodist Hospital, where I had Alexa! CLEAR across town from Blaine!
It has been 19 days since she stopped her meds for Strep and I am worried she has it again, but she says her throat does not hurt, so I don't know what it is? Flu or just fever.
I am tired today and just want to rest. HA, Wish I could. I have to go volunteer tonight @ the Hockey Jamboree to get my hours in, so they do not cash my $250 check for equipment ( we rent it).
My friend Becky's daughter had surgery today on her sinuses and they did an her tonsils and adnoids also. Everything went well and she is doing good. She is the CUTEST little Girl!
This Sunday, I am taking the girls to an Urban Expedition series on Guatemala http://www.landmarkcenter.org/UE.html . A few of my friends that have adopted, will be going, so it will be fun and guess what? It is FREE!
Alexa has her 2 last Jamboree games coming up. There team did AWESOME last night and beat Centenial.. :) Alexa had a assist.

No other news to share. Trying to sell more on Ebay, as we are running short this month of cash, as we got a new washer/dryer, garage door opener and Scott's Suburban needed some WORK! :( WHEN does it STOP?!
1 last thing.. Can you say a little prayer for me? I am having my first Mammogram tomorrow morning and having an pelvic Ultrasound on the 10th of March. I's Appreciate it! THANKS!

1 year ago I was in Guatemala and Alexa's ENT Update

Well This time, 1 Year ago, We were in Guatemala to go meet Miss Andrea.
I remember her how LITTLE she was and how cute she was and the emotions I felt meeting her! WOW, how fast a year goes, and it is still amazing to me that she is home safe and Sound with US and HERE!
WE had Alexa's appointment on Friday with the ENT and he said she DEFIANTLY should have her tonsils out. He said her tonsils are HUGE and getting the tonsils and her adenoids, it would help her muffleness when she she talks, as her tonsils are so big, they almost touch each other. We are looking on the calendar, when to do the surgery, as they do them on Thursday's and she needs the whole week off after the surgery and no rough housing, Gym or Recess for 2 weeks after surgery. She has missed so much school already, so we wonder if we wait until school is out? But the Dr said she is on the top doses of presciptions and there are not many more more that will work, so do we just do the surgery now and have her miss the school, or does she get sick and miss the days of school being sick? Scott and I are trying to decide before Monday morning, when I have to call and make the appointment.
This past weekend, Scott's Mom came to stay with us for 2 nights. Friday night, We went to Turtle Lake Casino. WE had a great time, but I can't stay up as late as I used to! We got home around here around 4 am, and Andrea was up @ 5:30 and Scott took care of her until 10:30, as I slept, BUT we all had to get ready for Alexa's hockey game. She played against my cousin Rick's kids, who we call her cousins, as they are kind of 2nd cousins and they play so good together. So it was a fun game to watch. Lisa, Ray and Austin and Dalton came to watch Alexa play, so it was a fun little crowd! Alexa played defense, which she does not care for too much, but had fun anyways. Then Barb stayed here with the girls Saturday night and Scott and I went to the Hockey Dance. It was pretty fun! We left a little earlier, and stopped @ Old Chicago and played Trivia. I am trying to re cooperate form Not sleeping much Friday night and Andrea has not been sleeping that great!
